Ya I know leveling in BGs omegalul. But is the 25% bonus noticeable when you level? Do the potions work in BGs? Does turbulent time-ways apply to BGs?
I think some brackets are dead
the 10-19 one had some people playing fotms a while ago when hunter rekt down there
I am of the opinion that leveling PvP brackets need better templates (they have scaling). I get this will kill twinking but idk twinking is one of those things that gives people a bad taste of PvP especially if they are leveling and new to the game.
The last time I tried a bit of battleground leveling was around Christmas time last year. The queue times were worse than anything a Solo Shuffler/Blitzer could complain about. And the gameplay? Everything dies instantly, healers be damned.
Yea i tried some PvP in the lower brackets and holy fire just 1 shots lol. I even leveled a holy priest to 19ish to try it out and can confirm its op in that bracket lol.
Leveling BGs just need templates like Legion of some kind imo.
Ya I get there is a niche group of people that likes to twink, but all this does is just give players more of a bad taste of PvP. Imagine being a new player, you decide to queue up for a thing called a battleground and this is your first experience with PvP? You would probably never do it again lol.
10-19 and 71-79 will have frequent pops, the rest in-between is hit or miss.
There’s simply no incentive to do it when Timewalking exists.
Leveling battlegrounds need better ilvl scaling or templates.
And they should give better xp so they are more viable as a leveling method.
I mean even if leveling was somewhat or half as good as timewalking I would do it over timewalking.
When the XP was good there were complaints leveling was the “best way to level” thus getting it nerfed cuz PvE’ers didn’t like it.
I’m sure Blizzard can find a balance between “being faster than PvE” and “being slow as molasses”.
I mean they could…
From what I remember, the experience isn’t that bad…if you win. But losing was a waste of time. And outside of 71-79, queue times are absurd because hardly anyone bothers in the first place.
They seem to be too scared of making anything for PvP that might entice PvE players to try it, but Blizzard needs to remember that would be a good thing. We want more players to want to participate in PvP! If battlegrounds were a viable leveling method, not the fastest or the best, but at least viable, then wouldn’t that just be a win all around?
Blizzard needs to stop being afraid to reward people for participating in the PvP aspects of the game.
