Leveling is extremely frustrating on Fresh

It was manageable with faster respawns from zones lvl 25 and below but from Hillsbrad to STV is an absolute nightmare. I don’t even want to play when theres a dozen people sniping every single respawn from 40 yards.

Can we please adjust layering and respawns? If not, well PoE2 in less than 2 days. I will wait for this crapshow to die down.

This is no different than on era or SoD when either of those launched.

Thanks for addressing an ongoing issue that they keep allowing.

They learned from the past that megaservers are going to happen organically already so they just skipped the dead servers steps, transfers, etc.

You’re playing world of warcraft classic. What do you want them to do? make so many layers that everyone is playing by themselves?

Except for its blizzard so naturally they did this wrong.

In other words, if there is a problem to solve blizzard will invent a new way to mess it up.

I gave up, I’d like to come back and play more but it’s just impossible right now. Every zone somehow gets worse and worse. I just got to Badlands and there’s one area where these troggs and rock elementals spawn that is just completely farmed out at all times regardless if you try to switch layers and stuff, doesn’t matter if its the morning, mid day on a week day, or even late at night, either. Every zone I’ve been leveling in has been like this and I’m just tired of it. I’d love to play the game more and I was really enjoying it when I actually got to play, but it’s just become too annoying for now.

The difference is SoD has XP bonuses and tons of classes could heal and tank so dungeon grinding was actually super fun.

Big population, use layers this is OK.

Use sharding, this is not OK.

I expect them to allow us to play their game. If I had the option to solo instance an area I would. Not everyone wants to group up with 4 other people and collect crippled experience.

I do agree on the base point that the game turns into a slog when your sitting waiting for mobs to respawn for an extended period. We have all been there with 5 other dudes all trying to tag mobs as soon as they spawn. Easy examples being the mountain lions, defias camp and Ogre cave in Hillsbrad.

I would be in favor of them adding some dynamic logic that increases spawn rates if X% mobs in an area are dead. Im not saying hyperspawns per say but keep the mobs coming back quicker until it drops back below the X% dead threshold.

I remember a lot more layers on classic than there are on fresh.

Just turn it up to 15-20 layers so people can actually level instead of afk pray for mob to spawn on them to get a tag while watching a movie. (That’s not me, but I’ve heard a lot of people say that…)

There are simply too many people per layer for leveling.

It hasn’t been that bad for me. If one area is crowded I move to the next. Very rarely have I experienced every area too crowded and when I circle back, the previously crowded area is usually fine to grind in. I also try to group for kill quests as much as possible.

You’re playing the wrong game then mate. Leveling seamlessly doesn’t happen until mid-late stage of a classic server.

Well then I guess you’re right, I won’t be playing fresh until this is issues resolves itself or they step in and make adjustments. And considering their track record, well I’ll just go and enjoy poe2 for a long while.

That’s not the problem. There’s no dynamic respawn, there’s not enough layers. The problem is just so unbelievably easy to fix, but Aggrend and co. are insanely lazy.
