Leveling Difficulty Changes Incoming

The issue once again is the timing. Scaling has been a known issue long before this expansion. They never has ‘fixed’ it. Also, they do this after EA, when people who didn’t have EA are essentially being ‘punished’ for not buying EA. Looks bad, feels bad, is bad.

Ah yes. The one day made change is breaking so much that they’re having to keep extending maintenance to fix it.

Who’s ready for all the new bugs this one day made change is going to bring?

I just look forward to the tank wanting to pull the entire dungeon gets slapped on their first pull… I just hate the toxic players treating the new dungeons like Timewalking… Literally stopped doing the dungeons becasue of it… Worst type of players.

not in a normal dungeon… endgame content sure normal dungeons are a vehicle to push you into endgame content and will literally be irrelevant in a couple weeks outside of leveling. they are not endgame content and should absolutely be face rolled.

people were farming those frogs 10 years ago when timeless isle came out, and everyone acted all surprised people farmed them during remix

Anyone calling me a bootlicker hasn’t been paying attention. The change is needed, but the timing is tone deaf. Should have waited until Tuesday to give those who didn’t have EA a little time to have a bit of fun with it.

I tried it as dps the first time and it was terrible when they started pulling slow I decided to just pull the room and the tank AI was very realistic if you go by the if you pull it you tank it rule basically ignored me as I died over a 45 second fight to the death with 20 mobs

The real issue was farming those frogs in timeless isle was a rep reward, not a pure power reward.

Those who did it for pure power knew what they were doing.

My question is what testing has been done to see how difficult leveling is at ilvl 400 which is the base ilvl of drops in TWW? Is it not ridiculous to make hotfixes so that people who entered the new expansion with an ilvl equivalent to what you get at level 77 or 78 have a more difficult time getting there? The pre-expansion event, by itself, got people to free ilvl 480 gear, you have to get to level 75 before you even see a reward that’s even close to an upgrade.

Get to max level and run mythic, M+ and Mythic Raids.

“Normal dungeons being easy is also bad.” No. It’s absolutely fine for normal dungeons to, in fact, be easy.

Have you tried this yourself? I am sorry if you didn’t mean it this way but you sound a bit condescending. I am not a new player that never heard of the AH.

There is literally no way of getting greens right now because even if the AH shows you can equip an item and requires lvl 70, when you actually go into the details it shows it actually requires lvl 80.

That’s without even mentioning that telling people to spend thousands of gold that they might not have is not a real solution… that’s what scaling is for… making it smooth for new players and players who just didn’t bother to overgear their toons the last expansion.

The scaling wasnt enough to patch the gap before, and it will be worse now.

no its not because most DF endgame geared alts have already been leveled, your only punishing the people that didn’t play last xpac…

Please, I play wow because it’s not a Korean style mmo level grinder. Leveling as an experience of the majority of the game should stay in classic.

I am not going to “be grateful” what what I consider quality or life improvements IMO this is how retail should be evolving to stay competitive. Respecting player time is one aspect of wows competitive advantage I hope they continue to lean into that

The issue is on beta they set the ilvl or gave you templated gear so no one could really test the scaling in a realistic scenario.

Oh they sell max level boosts at the start of expansions now? Where are they, i’d love to buy one!

Based opinion: normal dungeons SHOULD be easy. They’re not meant to be a challenge. Heroic can have a bit of a challenge, that’s expected. Mythic, Mythic+ should have a challenge. Normal should be easy.
