Leveling Cooking

Trying to figure out how you level cooking without leveling fishing as well. Most guides showed a quest in Silithus you could do to get a recipe to do 275-300 using sand worms. I was super jacked about this only to get there, no quest. My searching shows that the quest was never implemented into WoW Classic for some reason?

So I’m wondering if there’s some way of leveling cooking without spending a year leveling fishing as well?

I mean, there are plenty of recipes you can get from cooking trainers that don’t require fishing at all.

For 275-300? Last one they show is some sort of sausage at 200.

Just pick up the Pilgrim’s Bounty recipe book. Start cooking up turkeys. Done.

The quest for sand worms is there, but it’s for level 285 cooking. Not 275.

I’ve done this quest before, at least on TBC/Wrath, might require something else, like Cenarion Circle rep, or doing other quests in the area.

This is the way.

Took an alt from 1-400 in about 30 min.

Yep, it’s pretty easy stuff.

As someone else noted, right now just do the holiday cooking anywhere from 1-300.

But the sandworm meat quest is there, it just doesn’t look at first like that’s what it is. Person in the inn sends you to go fetch a document from one of the cult camps IIRC and that’s what opens it up.

The annoying part is the drop rate from the sandworms for the meat is all over the place. You might get 20 quickly, or it might take half an hour. So yeah, just kill turkeys outside SW/UC and get 20 in like 4 min guaranteed.
