I’m thinking about leveling a fresh character from level 1 this week while waiting for season 4. What is the best and fastest method these days to get a character from 1-60? then I know from that point it will be the dragonflight content.
Remix will be the fastest way to level, and it will let you get all the way to 70 and have easy ilvl 556 gear, the only caveat is the character won’t be playable in normal retail until WW.
Oh good point. It wont be a season 4 toon.
I just do questing and dungeons and take any exp buffs available, usually DMF buff and war mode on, and just toot along til suddenly I’m level 60 and suddenly I don’t wanna level anymore.
If you’re going to do it now before MoP Remix is (from what I feel and do) go Intro to WoD then do everything in Tiragarde Sound in BFA and then go back to Shadowmoon Valley in WoD. WoD gives best XP per hour but I feel that TS is easier to do before you get flying. This is IMO.
I hate to bring it up but I’m going to. Visit the pet battle trainers in the Eastern Kingdoms, start in Elwynn Forest and work your way up to Light’s Hope. It is easy and mindless if you have a level 25 pet (or more).
One can do twelve quests in forty-five minutes: so that’s some decent leveling.
Blightbreath with his aoe weather and aoe breath is great, just heal him up and now and then. Father Winter with the weather and the double-hit lance will move you along nicely.
Buy a boost off the shop, or pay gold for a leveling boost in retail.
Otherwise if you are going to level 1-60, then just get out there and do what you like. Enjoy the process. If you want to powerlevel fast, Then Spam Dungeons as a tank until you can que for timewalking then spam them.
But that type of leveling isnt fun.
Why not wait until Pandamonium?
If you are leveling with quests, I find that for Alliance 'toons best bet is to start in Stormwind and do the quests to the south. Those include Elwynn Forest, Red Ridge Mountains, Dustwood and Westfall.
For Horde I usually start in Quel’thalas, since I mostly play Blood Elves anyway and do all their zones.
Then I’ll go pick a Chromie time to finish leveling. At that point you usually don’t have far to go. Legion is nice and you can usually pick up your Dalaran Heathstone which is an extra heathstone that comes in very handy. At one time you could pick it up at the Inn. It’s a toy now so I’m not sure where you pick it up now.
That could be several months away. We still don’t have a release date for it
In my experience, WoD in Chromie Time is extremely fast. But I just leveled a Highmountain Tauren in Legion, and that also seemed to go by quickly - not even enough time in Chromie time to finish the class hall.
There are multiple google search results saying mop remix releases the same day as s4 and patch 10.2.7, which is supposedly the 23rd. A couple of the articles look like they were written by AI, though, and of course Blizzard has no official date, but I’m curious where multiple different sources all got the 23rd from.
I dunno if it’ll be easy. I imagine going for that ilvl will need a hefty amount of that bronze currency to grind out. Currency that you could otherwise spend on evergreen stuffs like transmogs, mounts, etc.
where are you getting that from? the remix characters switched to normal characters on the PTR right away and they had green gear not the ilvl you indicate
You can use the bronze currency to increase the ilvl of any gear you get during the event.
Yup, my Pantrunning character will be my main in WARTHIN!
I would use it for just collecting mogs but good idea too.
Gonna delete this toon and level it during that time and use it as my next main. But I’m intrigued playing a full-bearded female earthen.
Should be next month. It’s longer to wait, but I didn’t know if you wanted to level more than one character.
Wait for next patch so you can level in Pandaria and being able to dragonride at level 10.
