Leveling a hunter, curious about gear in random bgs

Hey,

-Are bfa things active in leveling bgs? Like heart of azeroth and the three pieces you could put snares and stuff on
-Are legion relics active?
-How do I get well-geared? Other than heirlooms

it depends on the bracket but usually old raids have the highest ilvl gear for your toon.
don’t bother with 60 once you hit it but at 61 use the AH and pick up the crafted 316 pieces. there are 5 slots,6 if df engi, and the sl pvp trinkets.

Max rank heirlooms will allow you to 1 shot anybody pretty much. Once you get to 60-70 go buy pvp greens off the ah they will scale up and really allow you to 1 shot everyone

For sure keen on the 61-70 bracket

But what comes into play in 20-60 range?

Ya I have the heirlooms but I’m sure there are other things. I can’t seem to find any info on it tho.

Leveling in bgs is probably a bad idea, queues seem to be over an hour in off hours. Blizz probably put a cap on the number of hunters in random bgs at 5.

oh i would just q up while questing

but fr an hour? no way- 61-70 qs are steadily 5 mins or less in my exp

If you can’t be bothered to run old raids and have a bunch of spare marks of honor I think the old sets you can buy at lvl 30, 35, 40 etc have very high iLvl for their level and also come with quite a few gem slots

ah interesting- i do have a TON of marks and boa honor things, how can these be useful other than buying old sets? I don’t plan to be in any bracket long

I would just keep it simple and use heirlooms, along with visiting the AH for other slots every few levels.

Gearing “properly” for low pvp isn’t worth it for how long you’re realistically going to be in each bracket.

ya ig that’s the move i have in mind, i figured there would be other things tho? still unsure if bfa/leg/sl character progression things can play into random bgs- i remember sl ppl would q their 60s with lowbies and have covenant abilities, renown bonuses, etc

ig i’ll just scope out top dam on armory after each bg and clue myself in that way

When I used to do it, I would quest at the same time to make up for queue times. And you will have queue times, LOL.

That’s the beauty of heirlooms is they level with you, so you don’t feel like you’re collecting specific gear that becomes useless in no time.

Would highly recommend queuing for dungeons while questing and skipping low level bgs. Nobody wants to do low level bgs anymore
