Legit it’s unfun and boring to level up when the mobs get stronger and you get weaker. fix the scaling or get rid of it.
You are not getting weaker.
Your armor is.
Upgrade it.
So weird to see complaints like this mixed in with all of the complaints about how leveling is to easy.
The complaints cancel each other out and balance has been restored
I think what makes leveling boring is cause its treated as something not important anymore. The audience is just focused on endgame and endgame alone. Wasn’t like that when the game released. Everything you did on the way to 60 had purpose. You could collect mats, start attunements, begin to farm endgame dungeons. learn to hone you class skills, explore the world. Everything took longer to do but it had a finality to it, assuming you beat every boss and got the gear. Now its all about farming endless seasonal content. Imo they should just remove leveling all together at this point.

Yeah, the way every MMO in existence works after their vanilla is over.
seasonal content is code for “raid tiers” which definitely existed.
No the game had the adventure to 60 and that was most of the game. Taking time, walking everywhere, farming mats, reading quests; these were seen as boring, but they still added immersion to the world. Not getting showered with epics made it better when you finally got one, even if it took 3 weeks of farming the same boss. Imo they should of made expansions as horizontal progression

So your Stats are lowering?
When you level you get a base increase in stats. But so do the enemies. But, the enemies also get a boost to the armor they are wearing.
Its an arms race, you win it by outgearing the NPCs, which you do so by questing, crafting, dungeoning, and trading, and exploring.
You can lock XP to replace outdated gear slots with quest rewards, or replace outdated slots with auction hall greens. Or invest in heirlooms. It may not be ideal, but you do have options in this regard.
Thats the reality of leveling scaling. I have mixed feelings about it. I like how it works in TES: Oblivion except they need to balance it better. In an mmo don’t think they should use it because it makes progression very sloppy

maybe today they wouldn’t. Classic gets a lot of attention but its never going to be what it was cause its “been there done that”
