There was no other follow up … /shrug.
Going off their track record from Dragonflight, I doubt it would be. The new campaigns in patches were accessible to alts regardless of what they did previously. I only did the DF 10.0 questline on one character lol
I sincerely doubt it. They seem to have moved away from that.
Not yet. It depends on how they implement later questlines.
i know its a pain for shadowlands content.
in fact I think they need to reassess the shadowlands content unlocks. So much good stuff there that is gated by a bunch of quests that are just annoyingly slow to complete. Why can’t we just skip to choosing a covenant again? I unlocked level 80 renown on venthyr but my god I do not want to have to do all of the shadowlands main story each time just to do the others
How? It’s short. I was only like level 76 with just the campaign
Hallowfall transmog set.
You aren’t going to get that.
Okay wait a second. Now I just got a second 80. When he popped, he got a quest to go to Brann to get this ‘skip the leveling quests’ or some such. Now is that what you’re meaning that on my next toon I don’t need to hit that board, I can just start right in on world quests and stuff?
Someone answered your question right below when you first asked it.
they should let us skip the level 80 campaign on alts.
… and you don’t have to. Get your alt to 80 by whatever means pleases you (Campaign, side quests, dungeons, etc), and then at 80 you get a quest to skip any remaining campaign quests that alt hasn’t done.
they dont let you skip the level 80 campaign
what exactly are they forcing you to do? my alts dont have to do anything.
I finished the campaign on my main (alliance). Walked a horde alt into the portal room in org. Took the Dornogal portal and I had quests and world quests when I got there. I’m 80 on that toon now and still have the teleport to Silithus quest in my log along with the teleport item unused.
It skipped just fine on my alts.
Y’all confused. The OP is talking about the max level campaign quests, not the 70-80 leveling campaign quests. There’s a difference. And no, you can’t skip the max level campaign quests on an alt even if your main did all of it.
But I don’t think it matters anyway, your alts will still have access to everything your main does regardless.
Skip the level 80 campaign quests as in not do them or as in hit a button that marks them completed?
Yes to just don’t do them. There is no reason to do them more than once.
No there is no way to turn those quests off or make them go away, but they won’t hurt you, You can just let them sit.
There are transmog rewards if anyone happens to care about that.
But yes, not doing the quests doesn’t change much.
IIRC you get all the transmog from current quests as soon as you do them on one toon.
It seems the alts have to reach 80 then talk to brann to skip some of the campaign, but not skip the campaign.
That’s what I’m doing.
I mean, there is a possibility I guess that down the line I may have to go back and do quests, I have no idea. Right now I’m just trying to max out that bonus XP buff, this next toon I’m levelling will get me to 25%.
I’m not missing out on anything as far as I know, if I am, Oh well, I’ll go back and do it.
