Level 80 campaign unskippable on alts

This is just silly. Why have warbands if you aren’t going to go all the way and make every campaign unskippable? I thought that was the intention? There is zero reason to have to do those quests over again, especially the unfun flying ones.

I skipped on my alt and finished the archive.

Did you complete the campaign on your main ?

The quest will still be there on alt.

I have the campaign skip on several characters but Im not sure I want to use it because if its an account wide skip, I dont want to remove it in case I want to go through the story again on an alt.

Skip is per character

Love complaint posts that are based on inaccurate information.

100% you can skip it on alts. My main did the campaign, my alts have not. Uncheck show warband completed quests and the map will look clean. You just talk to the NPC in the main city to skip it for alts. They get offered the campaign completion part(the part after the zone quests) but you don’t have to do it.

its very easy to level, I can go from 70-80 in a single play session just by doing 6 random dungeons and the story though i might want to not do it because the story is boring and lame. then again I might want to do it months or even years from now, wouldnt want to make a choice that will effect that as an option.

I kept asking and never getting a response, not from people nor from google. If its per character, then thats fine. Ive already gotten all the possible rewards from every single quest, no quest on the board doesnt have the “completed by warband already” marker on it.

How is it not skippable?

I’ve skipped the campaign on every alt so far. I just got my 4th to 80, working on the 5th.

My alts literally skip to Dornogal and get straight into WQ/Delves etc, I completely ignore Brann and his “choose where to start” and his scouting map.

Only problem with this is most people hit 80 before even finishing the campaign. I want to be able to skip it on an alt without having completed it on any character.

I’m assuming he means the main quests once you’ve hit 80? As far as I know you cannot skip that on alts. At least I have been unable to on my other 80 character.

OP must be doing something wrong. i have 12 80’s. after my first i was able to skip the campaign on the other 11. git gud skill issue

So you can skip the whole part when the horde and alliance show up when you’ve completed it once? How?

do the campaign bro

Yeah you can skip a portion of it, but the level 80 stuff, when the Alliance/Horde ships arrive, it seems you have to do that still on every character.

I completed the campaign and unlocked Earthen, but the above referenced parts cannot be skipped on alts.

Not sure why it doesn’t show in achieves, but this is my main and I’ve finished the MSQ

Does that matter? Far as I can tell everything is unlocked without having to do that campaign on alts.

Not following?

Brann, for my fresh 80 has “A Time to Come Together”, on the bottom it tells me “Your Warband previously completed this quest”

Will this open up something special? I don’t see it forcing me to do it, I can still do WQ etc right now, I’m not locked out of anything. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow after resets.

After I hit 80 a little bit ago, he had a quest asking me to skip or not, I chose skip. Wish I’d have read it lol

Well, I suppose it depends if once they open up new follow-up quests that the level 80 questline is a prerequisite. Say you are spending this early period deciding on a main, and then the original character who completed the MSQ on is no longer your main. It means whichever character you decide to be your main you’ll have to do it all over again. Presuming the new questlines will require completion of the level 80 campaign portion that is not skippable.

OP is referring to the level 80 quests, not the 71-80 leveling campaign.

…i.e. all the stuff that was “wait for alleria” for the past couple weeks.

it skips you to the part where the ships arrive

My only concern is I might want to switch mains later down the road. I haven’t played wow in a very long time so I don’t know how progression works once more MSQ comes out. I’d rather not find out later that I have a bunch of quests I need to complete in order to finish the story if I switch mid expansion.
