There’s nothing wrong with someone wanting to run around on a lvl 11 toon in and of itself. However when they’re able to abuse broken scaling and busted mechanics and prevent 4 other people from participating in GROUP CONTENT by one shotting everything, yeah twinking is a problem. We have 20 years of precedent that says this is not intended and more recent precedent of them preventing level 70s from twinking because of scaling issues. Twinks need to be excluded from the regular group pool and put into their queues. If the majority doesn’t mind their presence as they say, they’ll still have people advertising to join them or want to join them and their times will be minimally different. Otherwise 1 guy shouldn’t be allowed to reduce GROUP CONTENT to 1 guy plus 4 NPCs on follow with their fingers up their nose the whole time. I know some people don’t mind twinks and you’re certainly free to run with them. But there are those of us who actually like getting to play our toons and participate without someone abusing overpowered mechanics because they can’t stand the idea of being doing in 5 minutes instead of 4. Heaven forbid your group be able to participate in group content.

Your inability to let go of this game is the biggest problem. I’d stop playing it if I disliked level 11s as much as you do.
They aren’t abusing anything, and they cannot prevent other players from participating, much less 4 others in a 5 man group.
I’m gonna say twinking in and off itself isn’t the issue? From what I understood XP off folks are supposed to give a debuff to those with XP on, and there was a way around it.
Probably considered an exploit, which may explain why there’s less. If you still want to do it I say go for it because twinking has been around since vanilla, but you may not want to try Whirlwinding through Timewalking with it, just in case.
We need more level 11s in TW. They make the TW fun. It’s just another chore.

Running with XP off folks and gaining XP has always and is still allowed by Blizzard without any penalty for anyone.

Ban wave likely hit bots/multiboxers using programs/rmt. 0 chance it (intentionally) hit just twinks. Very tiny chance it hit twinks specifically bypassing the party xp debuff.
People were getting “cheat programs” in their ban emails and that doesnt come from nothing.
People have hyperfixated on the xp debuff thing but ive seen very little actually point to that being the source of bans.
No one is getting long term bans for using a leave party macro. Thats a slap on the wrist at worst and even that is unlikely.
Im still of the belief the ban targeted bots and/or 3rd party automation software and was just a little too aggressive, hence the large number of ban reversals.
I think there are a lot of people who wilfully misunderstand the complaint about twinks, and no, I’m not going to re-iterate – YET AGAIN – the complaint about twinks, because ikyky, and if you don’t, you’re either trying to troll us or you’re snowing yourselves.
I bet the “elitists” in this thread would be changing their tune real quick if people were 1 shoting everything in Mythic dungeons, making them pointless. If you’re so “elite” and think TW are a joke, why are you even defending people ruining them when you admitted the content doesn’t even effect you.
Maybe try and have some empathy and realize casual players actually like TW played at normal pace.
I’ll just put Blizzard’s OWN quote in here for the 50th time to show what THEY intend to difficulty to be, unlike what you’re incorrect perception of it should be.
First of all, the big mean scary “elitest” twinks who actually enjoy twinking don’t give 1 crap about mythic+. If suddenly everyone was one shotting everything in mythic I quite literally couldn’t care less. However mythic is supposed to be solely challenging level 80 content which TW was NOT made out to be. Despite what blizzard has stated, actions speak much louder than words and they are not acting on it.
You should have empathy towards the 99% who want to get their loons leveled. You are playing the majority card when you are clearly in the minority. If people really hated twinks that much I would be getting kicked from every run but somehow that hasn’t happened once for the last 2 months.
Not to mention, majority of newer tw twinks who haven’t exposed to socket gear are in tw gear since it’s scaled to an extremely high ilev (which I admit is obviously broken and not intended). The funny thing is, this actually got fixed on the PTR and the ilev was drastically lowered to around the same as regular dungeon gear. But after a few days they ‘fixed’ the issue and brought it back up.
Some of y’all need to practice your breathing techniques and learn to relax. All this whining isn’t helping make your life or experiences in game any better. You don’t like how they play, fair enough, but that doesn’t mean they need to be removed from TW que, bc that how they want to play, and tons of other players do like them in the group. If you happen to be in a whole group that doesn’t want a Twink n one is in your group, vote kick em n go on about your day, if you can’t, then you’re in the minority and should “man up,” instead of whine on the forums, immho.
They were free to “fix” this right away if they thought it was broken or an exploit. It has been this way since the changeover to allowing level 10’s to queue. They have not changed it at all. We have every reason to believe this is what was intended.

Simple fix for it, Role locking people while in the dungeon, if they queued as tank, they can only switch to other tank specs.
I actually think that was intended. They could have used the existing gear scaling for level 10-30 but they chose not to. Instead they created this new scaling for low levels. The better gear helps a low level in bad gear gear up better for dungeon leveling.
Press X to doubt. People don’t quit over their weekly chores being made faster.
