Level 11 Fury Warriors in Timewalking Dungeons

I appreciate now finding this out. I look at some of these tanks and others, how are they doing that? I got to do that in the Pandaria Remix, but that was expected when you leveled up all your stats so much… that was fun, but everyone was in on this. I am so glad to know now what I have been witnessing.
This is just so new to my game play understanding.
It’s the ‘twinkies’ who would have thought?

It’s insanely rude to force your twink game style on random people who might not want to play run simulator. Maybe have some decency and ask first if the group is ok with a fast run?

What a rude way to speak. So WE have to limit our classes to tank because YOU can’t control your degenerate game style? Get real.

I’m trying to get all 14 alts leveled up lol. Got half done in timewalking this week alone, it’s absurdly fast and those lvl 11’s make the dungeons a solid 8 minute run I love it. That being said, I’ve only run into 2 so far.

I can clear close to as fast on my 639 Ret as I can on my 11 fury warrior. Are you going to complain next season when mythic geared toons are able to go as fast or faster in TW than 11 twinks?

I think the issue is more about OP players who aren’t playing their role speed-running a dungeon in a way that benefits them selfishly, but disrupts the rest of the group. Whether a level 11 twink is going it or a mythic-geared 80 is doing it, when you get yours but leave your group disoriented and in the dust, that’s just poor form, bad gameplay, and kinda trashy behavior.

This post can just as easily be flipped 180 degrees and you be the outlier. And at least in my experience, the majority of folks I’ve run into are happy when a twink is in the group.

I’m curious how you would measure how happy anyone was with a twink and their behavior. Like, what did they say/do that indicated that they were happy? Did they whisper you – were you the twink? – telling you how happy they were? Or did you interpret their silence as happiness? Or did they say something in instance chat to indicate how happy they were that a twink was there?

I’ve been in runs with twinks who respected their role and the group, and it was fine. I wasn’t thankful or anything – twinks don’t shave off that much time IMO – but I also wasn’t irritated.

I definitely get irritated when any player, whether a twink or a heavily geared 80, only acts in a selfish manner and doesn’t care how they might negatively impact the group. I like groups for the group vibe. Selfish people in groups, I can do without.

But how do you know when a group is super happy about a twink? I’ve never seen anything to indicate how people feel one way or the other, except when the twink runs too fast and too careless and get party members killed.

I know because people specifically asked “Are you queueing again” or made other statements during the run. Some may not speak, but I have found people spam the queue button at the end of a run with a twink, and the majority accept the queue. I’ve yet to see a group with a twink where they got to the end and everyone left instead of re-queueing with the twink.

Why do people find it fine to be carried throughout 95% of the game but for the last 5% is like getting cancer?

I think you have that backwards. Next season nothing’s changing for the level 11s. It’s the 80s that’re getting ‘nerfed’ until they catch back up to the new ilvl curve.

…?
The dungeons don’t scale off ilvl, they scale off character level. TW dungeon mobs and bosses will have just as much health and damage as they do now for a level 80 character, but a level 80 will be doing about 50% more damage than now.

You think mighty little of those around you, and lump EVERYONE into a stereotype… what a terrible attitude for a gnome!

I’ve been playing WoW since 2008 and i main a Blood DK tank, and most of my alts heal… for the better part of my 17 years playing, ive been a Heroic AotC Raider who prides himself of taking care of my party, being it tanking or healing.

You ASSUME just because a twink has the ability to leave everyone in the dust and bail instantly the second the last boss dies that this is THE STANDARD… THE NORMAL behavior of the average twink… its not… certainly not in my groups.

I pride myself of taking care of my groups… i actually chat and talk during the run… my groups all talk back… i will pause to let people catch up, i double back if i see someone in trouble… i wait after the final boss is done for requests “can we kill optional boss, or reque?”

My Warrior twink is Robotwink-Sargeras, and there’s plenty of people on the forums that have run with me and will vouch, that the behavior you profess is the norm (to win an unpopular argument) is neither the norm, or even remotely common.

Most people don’t even see twinks, and those that do almost always want more… yeah, there’s 4 or 5 of your kind lurking on the forums badmouthing twinks every chance you get, pretending you’re the majority opinion, blaming twinks for “forcing” people to play their way while hypocritically wanting everyone to play your way. It drips with irony.

We always have fun in our groups… i make mine more than just about speed, we joke around and have fun… id hate to live in your world of blaming everyone else for ruining your game and wanting everyone to drag their feet at a snails pace in content weve all done a million times over.

Be a happy gnome… stop pointing fingers and lying about others (i leave no-one behind)… we play to have fun too… sorry it isn’t your miserable views of everyone else… join the rest of us in happy wow. My groups always ask for more!

I believe they’re saying that when a new tier is released, Blizzard changes the scaling curve at max level so you would need a higher item level to be as powerful as you are now once the scale changes.

I don’t know if or how much they do change things each new tier. I think they do change it some though so that in the last tier you don’t go around one-shotting elites in world content for example.

There are twinks that are fun and team players. They watch your back if some mobs attack you, they wait for everyone, etc…

Then you have the monster drink hyped dweeb that runs to the final boss without anyone around to get credit and leaves.

They do bring up the bar for seasonal dungeons at max level, yes, but not TW. TW is scaled off character level.

That was a lot you took on there.

A fun thing if you actually let the 80s keep up is a lot of them have that candle trinket that procs a crit buff for the group and puts a candle on your head. It doesn’t scale with level and gives lowbies over 100% crit chance for 30 seconds and procs frequently.

Timewalking’s already been adjusted for this expansion, and is considered to be on par with heroic dungeons at max level. Since max-level heroics get rebalanced for new seasons, so will max-level Timewalking dungons.

They never “rebalanced” it between tiers in any prior season so I doubt it’ll happen. However much health the bosses and mobs in TW dungeons have now, they’ll have all expansion.

They never rebalanced TW in the past because they didn’t have to, with us being scaled down to the level of the instances. But since the instances now scale to us, they have parity with the other ‘normal’ heroic dungeons and will be adjusted the same as they are.
