Just got out of a LFD dungeon, with a “level 10” monk tank, who I think was downscaled to level 10 somehow?
He was wearing full purple warforged gear.
He basically was oneshotting every single mob.
The overall damage according to my details had him doing ~1million damage for the dungeon, and the combined total of everyone else in the dungeon was able to do 120k damage – that was for the whole dungeon.
I’m level ~40, so his damage was then being upscaled on my details, but I had him doing 10k+ damage on a lot of pulls. Nearly 8k DPS on bosses.
For perspective, I’m doing like 800-2k DPS depending on how many mobs we’re fighting.
What even is this. Why am I even playing this game. Do you guys test any of this?

Seems like free experience to me.

Nope, just level locked to 10 that geared up in Draenor LFG and praying to RNGeebus for warforged gear.
The scaling for lvl 10’s is crazy. It’s amazing fun.
I have an arcane mage ‘tank’.

it is just a warforged twink
and they are kind of fun to play every so often.

Yeah… I just closed the game. Time to find something else to do.

Sorry you feel that way, next time leave the group so they don’t wait to see if you come back, or you are kind of being rude.

No I finished the dungeon.
I think if anyone is being rude, it’s the person just making everyone else in the group irrelevant.
No point in even playing the game if you’re not going to be able to even participate in the dungeon.
I closed the game after the dungeon, and now I’m going outside.

Level locked 10
Runs hundreds, if not thousands, of dungeons searching for RNG warforged gear.
The chance for a piece of gear to RNG turn into an epic is pretty low.
Good for them if they got a full set. It sounds fun at first but hunting for warforge gear sounds incredibly boring even if you are slamming dungeons in under 5 min.

have fun outside, also you hardly ever run into level 10 twinks.

It is great for plvling friends/alts some people use their alt account to plvl and visa versa.

Negative. Anyone who directly parties with you gets zero experience because the twink has experience turned off. Only random connected players will receive exp partying with the twink.
These twinks ONLY have a use in dungeons. They have a dedicated pvp bracket and then they are suddenly no longer special.
Your ‘regular’ toon has access to everything. A twink is a specialisation, but it’s also a handicap.

Wait seriously? people can’t get xp from that? huh i thought for sure they could? Does that include the dungeon completion?

I met one arcane mage twink during hallows end boss fights. I gave him PI on my priest and the boss died in like under 5 seconds.
So much better than the 3min fights with level 70s doing 20k dps

Free experience and you still get loot. I don’t get why you would care, those are the only reasons to run leveling content.

Another interesting point is that the level 10 is probably outdamaging you by 10x by pressing three buttons, or on trash, spamming spinning crane kick (one button)
I get that if you have three buttons, they have to be good, but they don’t have to be that good. Lol

Another strategy is to both queue for the same specific (ideally unpopular) dungeon. So you will both be guaranteed a spot in the next Iron Docks run for example, if the queues don’t pop at the same time, you just try again. And they won’t get the xp reduction, you can keep queuing together from there because it is an instance group and not a party group.

It depends. Sometimes I’m happy to blast through something, other times I want to contribute on a caster.
I won’t leave if someone is soloing the place but if I’m not in a hurry to run x dungeons or hit y levels then I might dip after one or two.
I do think the intensity of the low level scaling could do with another look. For veterans who just want to get things done it’s whatever, but for newer players it might be confusing or give the wrong impression of the game.

Makes the dungeon super boring imo, but its over quick enough that I dont really care and I dont do leveling dungeons that much anyway.

all you have to do is put them on ignore and you will never be grouped with them again - you obviously didn’t want to play this game anyway if something like that drives you away.
Couldn’t imagine looking at meters in queued content, let alone caring about them.
