The people who are issues are people who are saying “it’s too much work”, never once tried, and are labeling it without having actually tried to do something about it.

I’m sure I play more than you do. I can’t possibly play more. There is not time to catch up on what I’m behind on. There is no way I’m going to be getting the cloak, no matter how hard devs try to blackmail me into getting it by giving me unusable corrupted gear instead of usable upgrades.

I doubt it. And I’d go so far as to offer you every piece of information in my arsenal to help you catch up.
Let me be clear. If you tell me right now: “Shad, I’d like help and information on how I can catch up.” I will pull you into my discord and teach you everything you need to know to make the acquisition of your cloak and whatever else you might need easier. Granted, I’m only one person, but I’d wager you’re thinking it’s way harder than it actually is.
Let me explain something to you. The only way I can get caught up is to do all the questlines. The many, many questlines. Boring, tedious questlines. I spent hours yesterday getting bored out of my mind doing interminable questlines.

No LFR is free loot. Just like molten bore and any raid in classic. Only takes about 20-25 good players the rest get the free loot.
LFR should always be AFK content. Just like warfronts.
Considering the way most people play in LFR, I don’t think sanity is a requirement…
All loot is free loot. Period.

I have a 12 cloak and I keep up with vessels. Haven’t failed any runs (have 6 vessels in bag to do runs). I just passively keep up with it (while somehow paying more attention my neck and essences (6 rank 4s)). Gonna bust out the runs I need this week to get rank 14 and will start to care for mask runs.
And I have missed several tuesday to early friday assaults. Only really have time to play on weekends. In fact right now I am at work still trying to finish up big projects.
People just need to be efficient with their time when they play, and pay attention to what the heck is going on around them.
You AFK in warfronts? I always mine and chop wood.
But what does LFR reward anyway? Never done it.
Which makes it a you problem if you can’t bother doing beginning quest lines meant to be done for the sake of establishing a story. Not a problem for the casuals. My guild and I? We’re casuals. We raid heroic and we PvP. That’s it. All of us have max level cloaks.
This makes it more of a problem considering what I said: The issue is people who have never even done the content are labeling it without experience in said content. Go do the quest lines, they don’t take that long. And you’ll be caught up in no time with a little bit of time management and planning.

I mean honestly though if the people are doing LFR solely for the progression of the story then they should have progressed the story and unlocked the cloak as it leads into the the Nya’lotha story.
Sounds like it more just affects the LFR heroes who just do it for the heck of it.

Nailed it.
Not sure if you played BFA since it launched but it was a real issue at the start.
They were faceroll easy and 5-10 peeps could easily afk it.
There was a gear issue too, people were repeating it with no level requirement.
First few weeks peeps got alts to mythic dungeon level afkin loots on low level alts.
It’s not designed for casual players
It’s designed for players that can’t handle raiding

If they can’t even do a simple easy quest chain to get a free “Legendary” then I have no idea what to tell you. Is club penguin still a thing? Might want to recommend some of them.

It’s sadistic I know, but I really want them to embrace the chaos and keep it as is.

Honestly, I wouldn’t even bother doing LFR with alts that don’t have their cloak anyway, but that’s just me.
Nah BFA was known for its over the top AFK loots. They need to go out as they started and kept with the whole xpac… why the change now there is no saving face at this point.
