Easy pass. I’ll take flying for 100, Alex

The sad thing is the OP doesn’t realise the entire expansion needs flying. Fly up to Tempest Keep, Skettis etc. All over the place.

Let me know if you need help avoiding the buy button at the flying mount vendor.

nop pve srcubs dont like it

you mean PvE Progamerchads.

yall being too hard on OP i think tbc with not flying sounds very fun

This would be a positive change, which means it won’t happen. Blizzard would never entertain changes that made the game better, it’s antithetical to their design philosophy.

You literally can’t do this.
The netherwing rep requires flying.
The tempest keep raid requires flying.
Parts of almost every zone requires flying.

Unless you’d rather there just be teleporters everywhere.

They cant get wow1 right and you want them the same team to do wow2?

Maybe they’ll get even worse and somehow go full circle and make something good? Or maybe they’ll get broken up by anti monopoly law and from the ashes somehow the rights to the game will land in the hands of a studio with one or more competent game devs on staff?

shrug

Edit: I should say one or more competent game devs in positions of power. I’m sure there’s the odd talented staffer among them whose spirit isn’t yet ground to dust

you can have whatever opinion you want about flying and wpvp, but flying killed wpvp - this is a fact

nice try guys but we’re not letting you rewrite history :expressionless: it’s WoW historical canon that flying mounts killed world pvp. it’s just not the same if everyone isn’t on the same dang vertical axis, where meeting people becomes much more likely. and no, I’m not a fan of the “dropping from the sky like a NUCLEAR BOMB” meta, feels like I’m playing some stupid FPS game.

yes, TBC with teleporters everywhere would be much better than flying mounts :expressionless:

There’s nothing wrong with flying…in TBC and beyond. Keep it out of Vanilla. But other than that, it was a fine addition. It only got bad when Blizz removed it and then replaced it with the horrible Pathfinder system.

the pathfinder system is what flying enjoyers deserve :expressionless:

Always thought resilience affected world pvp more.

The really funny thing is in more “real” pvp games people flying away is part of the pvp. Like eve.

Step 1…prevent them from doing that. You jump a target in eve your first thought is not letting this dude sneak off.

Fail to do that, you get less targets to shoot. PVP does not always mean I got jumped ergo I must fight.

My view of pvp is like this. the hunter (in a grand hunter prey meaning of the workd) wants to kill his prey. the prey…does not want to die.

PVP enters that picture as we see if the prey is better at not dying than the hunter is at killing them.

The Hunter gits gud or no targets, the tl;dr

just play pve
