Lets talk: undying and immortal

Undying and immortal are interesting achievements as they require people to well not die through an entire lockout. Where as their better counter parts conqueror and champion of ulduar are on a per boss basis instead.

Lets face reality, changes are and contuing to be made whether people like it or not, can we jmhave undying and immortal be changed to function like conqueror and champion of ulduar instead? That atleast makes it bearable, should a raid member get dcd, compensates for awful rng, what ever. And even throw in the added caveat if you must of being in 213/226 gear.

The titles arent hard to do butnhow they are designed does not raids factor in for potential disconnects, or other factors beyond their control. And by changing this it atleast makes the run more bearable to do as you can then see i have 2 bosses left instead.

Before people rant and rave no changes is dead, so dont bother, they already nerfed the meta achievement as it is, and this change would make the the title on par with the ulduar variants

And since people seem to be confused

Undying/immortal is on a per lockout run mess up once and you’re done

Conqueror and champion of ulduar work on a per boss basis. And if you have nobody die on that boss you get credit for that which carries over until the achievement is completed. Which means week by week there is less to do until its done or you do it all week 1.

tbh should just be a personal achievement. I dont it that way many times. But in the end i hope blizzard doens’t remove the mount rewards.

imagine writing this entire essay, not knowing a key fact about the subject of your essay the entire time. Pretty cringe OP. It’s common knowledge that you only need to have your raid stay alive on boss fights alone…

How exactly have they nerfed the glory of the raider meta achievement in Classic?

Imagine posting something so toxic with out actually knowing what you’re talking about

Undying and immortal are on a lockout basis champion and conqueror of ulduar are on a boss basis.

Please have some semblance of an idea of what you’re talking about before attempting to be toxic. Pretty cringe.

For what they removed from the meta. They also removed the loatheb spore achievement

The spore achievement was never part of the meta. Guilds did often do it because it counted as “progress” way back on wowprogress

Hardest part of immortal is praying the priests know how to MC

Literally have done it four times. It doesn’t need to be changed.

Thanks for the input that in no way shape or form is remotely beneficial, you must be fun at parties.

I’m a blast! Come over!

We only had 1 priest when we did it. But, except for maybe 1 lockout, we’ve always only had 1 priest.

Yes it is… you have to beat all the bosses in a single lockout without anyone in the raid dying.

achievements in classic are pointless anyways since they arent account wide.

Personal achievements made me not interested in the slightest to bother doing any of them. All a complete waste of time.

Dont agree with the 10 man version as its extremely easy… done it 5 times now, the 25 man version I somewhat agree though that it should be either personal or simply boss based.

Yes I have both protos and I think that little timmy (priests mcing bad, people not knowing what plus and minus is, people blasting dps on gothik or noth and dying to overaggro due to adds) done enough harm to the classic community in naxx!

I mean I wouldn’t call removing the achievements that make you bring 8/20 as a nerf but I can see how others can see it as a nerf. I believe the reason they removed those achievements is because they didn’t want situations where people exclude others for the sake of a meta achievement which most if not all raiders would want to get done within the phase.

As for the Loatheb spore achievement I can’t say if that used to be apart of the meta, might’ve been in OG WotLK and was removed early on but I’ve done that in a 10 man and needless to say it’s an interesting achievement. Not being able to get the spore doesn’t really make the fight any harder it only makes the fight last longer.

Wait till OP gets to try a Tribute to Immortality - so much harder due to the faction champion fight.
