Lets Talk - Trust Level 3

I’m not sure what is funnier:

Feature gating basic forum functionality as something innovative like it’s 2002

or

The fact that people have meekly accepted it instead of laughing at it

Either way: This forum layout is pretty ugly for stuff like Images to be posted

I’d venture to say it’s worse, not the same. I mean it’s like you are losing rep every 100 days, and thus you have to re-grind the rep just to maintain basic features of the game.

There’s rarely a reason that just posting a preformatted link wouldn’t work.
The only reason people feel forced to get trust level 3 for images is to be more sensationalist. Like when you post a reaction gif. We don’t need more of that. And lot of forums don’t let you post images at all.

I can’t believe that a game all about experience and achievements hasn’t implemented it in their forums.

Let people see their progress, set goals, and work toward them. No more of this esoteric system as it is.

Personally I feel that the real reason why they keep these features away is because they don’t want to spend too much time moderating here.

Making it feel like you have to earn it feels like a nice barrier to automod the lazy spammers.

I think they’re still working on forums, recently we had the profile tab get updated. Before you used to just get the names of peoples there that liked your posts and others. Now you get images. So that’s work in development.

How many mod do you think it would need to contain this? At all time of the day? Also it would mean to give a pre-read possiblity to mods, because some images can be way more shocking than texts…

It’s more about dedicated mods just for forums 24x7 than a bigger quantity. That’s what is required when you allow images or your forum becomes a great hole of dirt.

That’s what they want to avoid.

I’ve been working on TL3. Is there anything (from looking at my profile) that I’m missing?

Pfft. Level 3 is for noobs. Read my name.

I can’t exactly know why but it could be your recent usage.

You can look at this website

And see for trust level 3

So It could be that you need to view more posts (scroll trought big topics) to acess it. Normally that’s the biggest challenge.

You have to read 20,000 posts a MONTH?! What, does blizz expect everyone to use an autoclicker and scroller?

Honestly the “new” forums suck and I’d love to go back to the old way things were ran. Wanted to post on that silly character and still be notified? Sure here ya go. Wanna squelch that annoying idiot trolling and just making a butt of themselves? No problem! Don’t agree with someone? By all means vote em down, it doesn’t delete their post but it also buries it.

If they didn’t expect it, I suspect enough people have admitted to in fact doing this that it is on their radar.

Last 100 days, not month.

It really wasn’t that bad. This thread alone is 250+. Start surfing the forums just reading anything that catches your attention and it flies by.

It’s pathfinder for the forums, not difficult just a matter of consistent time spent.

Pls make it account wide, that’s my only request.

Pathfinder doesn’t require you constantly maintain your rep grinds every 100 days… just saying.

Don’t forget to mention if you server or faction change your main, you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN if that’s the character you’ve been using for posting on the forums.

They really need to change this requirement, or perhaps lower the amount needed. Not because it’s difficult or time consuming, but that everyone uses some sort of scroller to maintain their rank.

You can literally middle mouse click the page, move your mouse down slightly and it will auto scroll, without any need of 3rd party software. In the time it takes to take a shower or eat breakfast, you’ve already gained like 5000+ views. Seems pointless to keep this requirement if everyone is just going to cheese it.

I was actively chasing TL3, but once I found out that you have to maintain that same level of activity indefinitely to keep it I stopped bothering. Seriously, who has that kind of time?
