Half of my guild is already talking about quitting SoD if and when AQ drops. Classic saw a fairly large drop off when AQ came out. Can we get a Karazhan raid or something else different where much of the player isn’t likely to quit with an upcoming patch?

Im not looking forward to AQ neither. But it might be different with our overpowered toons.
Most of our guild plans to quit SoD after Phase 5 (BWL), and so do I. There’s no new content, and the PvP content is a mess, to say the least
The current SoD developers are the worst.

We will probably get Karazahn Crypts as a 10-20 player raid with Naxx.
BWL comes out with a 10-20 player raid with ZG, AQ40 with AQ20 as well as the emerald nightmare world bosses.
We will probably also get a new world boss with Naxx I suspect.

Maybe just no put AQ in the game and go straight to Nax next phase.

I was under the impression they were doing “different content” between raid releases.
I was expecting something non-raid related before AQ

If they adjust some items and add some dailies, AQ40 could be fun. A lot of people will have fun fighting C’thun for the first time. I hope they don’t rush it, though. Please do not release AQ40 this year. We’re not ready.

We have no plans on quitting ourselves. I feel like it’ll be moreso the casual guilds that quit, because AQ and Naxx are a whole other ballgame in difficulty compared to the easy mode of MC and BWL.

No classic raids are hard realistically. Classic through WoTLK are all easy mode, toddlers could clear through heroic ICC. However, a large chunk of the classic playerbase even on relaunch struggled hard with raids past BWL (honestly even some struggled with BWL even though it was easy af). It’s going to be the same thing this time around in SoD, especially since many guilds are still somehow struggling with Firemaw and Twin dragons in BWL.

Classic 2019, everyone was super excited for AQ and the War Effort.
SoD, everyone (at least in this thread) wants to just skip it.
Personally, I can’t want to blow up AQ; already at 60 NR unbuffed, unenchanted.
Ya’ll really trying to speed run into Classic+ (Classic MoP with changes), and/or Seasonal Vanilla ‘FRESH’ with a side of Classic Era Progression (cycling through Vanilla, TBC, Wrath).

They should just bring all levels of raids from aq onwards down to bwl so you have this insane huge amount of raids you can do without destroying the entire pvp side of things. Nostalrius survived because it was on the bwl patch for almost 3 years.
AQ and Naxx destroy the casual nature of classic and basically produces too much of a path to success from dinging 60 to getting geared.
Readjust your raids to bring naxx and aq down and then make crypts and the other raid they wanted up, make emerald dragons the hardest part of wow raids.
