Let's talk about the current Battleground situation

I was under the impression that premades only existed to fight other premades, right?

Can’t you guys start some intermural league and make use of the raid queue? If a premade doesn’t have enough players online to fill a raid, then they can solo or group queue up to 5 and take the first pop they get.

No, just that they don’t think that having a separate queue would fracture the population more, which is wild.

And they appear to have not thought about their separate queue in any depth.

So, you mean Wargames? Which already exists.

That was one of those rhetorical questions.

Do people in premade guilds only queue for EBGs when they’re with a premade?

They have plenty of people who do this like a job every day. Filling the 40-man queue on both sides isn’t an issue—it’s just an excuse to avoid facing each other.

I can’t speak for others, but I often solo queue.

if premades, for argument’s sake, just could not get all of their members into one group – either some new rule change or some technical aspect – and they just stopped doing it, would most of those players never step foot in an EBG again?

No, probably not, EBGs are fun.

Okay, so it wouldn’t necessarily fracture the player base of EBGs. Those players would stop queue up because they just enjoy doing it. All it would do is take the premades out of the normal queue.

It admittedly isn’t the best solution, but I do think premades are something that needs to be addressed. People love to say that PvP is dead, and one of the biggest complaints is premades.

Thus, while those players are in their separate queue, the population is further fractured.

It isn’t a solution at all.

Again, how would it deal with irregularly sized groups?

We can agree to disagree on how much it would fracture the player base.

I’m convinced it would bring in more players than there are people in premade guilds – not sure how the retention would be though.

You don’t need to beat a dead horse. Read the next few sentences after that

How?

They don’t know. They’re pulling things out of their …

How many people currently avoid queueing EBGs because of potentially running into a premade? I’m asking because I don’t have the number, but I imagine it’s the reason why there aren’t more casual players in it

By “kiddy pool” you mean 30 honor levels right.

30 honor levels is joke mode and not nearly enough time to learn the classes in this game and the great many intricacies that go into PvP in this game.

I’d say the first 100 honor levels maybe even more should be in that bracket.

Probably way less than you would accept but there is no real way to determine that.

I swear, like 12 posts above that…

You made it sound like it was enough time when it really…really isn’t

way less than you would accept

Accept or expect?

I meant accept as in you wouldn’t believe the number because it wouldn’t fit your view
