Let's Talk About Player Housing

Its been long term for 18 yrs now…how much longer is Long Term going to be???

Your point is made. Personally, I don’t believe housing will make the game any less social than it is. I’m just making an educated point because it seems that’s what people are held up on.

There are loads of games out there with housing implemented and the games with said feature has no problem at all with the social aspect. They just don’t.

when I hit WoD the first time with my old rogue main yeah…it was like jesus theres just too much to do inside here.
Even now I use the garrison AH instead of going to to one outside in the world.
It was a mistake to ever have so much to do in a PRIVATE setting.

ESO style housing doesnt have all that busy work inside the house…and half the fun of the houses is finding crap out in the world to put into it.
LITERALLY can be used to get us to be out in the world MORE if they have housing items drop from world monsters/quests/content

100% agree with you on that.

well did not help that literally half of WoD was cut and they dont even hide that fact. We were meant to get so much more in wod.

So a really cool fireplace or huge oak dining table could be the reward from a dungeon or raid boss.
Just like transmog, it could keep us busy for years to come.
Im still farming transmog pieces I want to complete sets.

That would absolutely get me up and our raiding; it just would. The world of Azeroth is so beautifully designed to the point that I’ve always wanted to claim a little spot to call my own.

A new profession class could be introduced too.

Carpentry!

Let’s not. It’s tired, old and boring.

then theres no reason for you to be here whining about it.

that sounds really cool.
oh man…and archeology could be revamped a bit to add cool artifacts to set on mantles or shelves.

My replies are hazy, but I think I mentioned this as well! I don’t think the housing needs any NPCs. I’d be cool with a bank, but if it wasn’t in the cards, that’d be fine with me.

Additionally, having the house be a phase in a capital city also keeps people around the city.

The garrison would have been more useful socially had the major part of it been like a city, unphased to all. Then you go into your own areas and it phases.

A vendor and repair would be nice. But nothing major.

exactly.
hearth to the house, then out the front door to SW or Org.

I wouldn’t mind another avenue to get back. I currently utilize the 3 guild cloaks and my hearth is Valdrakken, with an easy port to SW. With the amount of old content I like to do, getting to the mage tower is a must!

Unless I have a near infinite basement filled with mannequins housing my armor sets and weapons, and a Smaug room to throw money around in, I’m not interested.
