If they nerf us I hope they keep in mind that we’re mid in M+ right now and that most of the fights in Undermine fit perfectly with our kit.
Some classes have been allowed to ride the top spots for multiple seasons of multiple expansions. God forbid WW monk be allowed some time in the Sun.
Hope we don’t get nerfed especially with how buggy WW can be. Sub will prolly overtake us though.
Oh you didn’t see? 4% overal dmg nerf, and a slicing wind buff for pve.
CJL and a slicing wind nerf for pvp
Conduit healing buff 50% in pvp
Not bad. I thought it would be worse tbh.
But nothing to help us keep up with some of the giga AOE specs in M+ is a bumme though.
Slicing got a pretty high buff, and I think they’re hesitant to give us too much aoe buffing with the 4set not uaving been field tested too much yet
The Monk Discord says the Buff to Slicing Winds in tandem with the overall 4% nerf nets out to around a 2% nerf to our AoE but they said to wait for the new sims from the math nerds to be sure.
They just need to bite the bullet and bring back original SEF.
It would solve so much of that particular problem.
And then just bring the beta legion version of tiger eye
Saw the nerfs.
Surprised the things that got hit in pvp were slice and CJL. Conduit pvp healing feels a lil meh.
I feel like the bullet Blizz needs to bite with WW is not square rooting our AoE.
I would have preferred a nerf to the base damage of SCK and Conduit but to change their scaling so they do less damage ST but are more competitive on giga pulls in M+.
Our AoE in m+ was already pretty bad. They just have to get rid of target cap. It ruins the game
I’m so glad those are the things that got touched.
I was hoping for those or a tier set nerf
I’m glad our actual stuff was left alone
I wouldn’t call it bad since we’re very solid in a standard pull. It’s just the giga pulls you see where we fall off compared to something like a Ret Pally or Devoker.
Peak has a great article about our scaling issues. In a best case scenario I wish we had one uncapped AoE but Blizzard should at least fix the way Strike and Conduit scale
If there were a drinking game about people bringing up the freakin’ target cap, even a brewmaster would drink himself to death.
Just give me some solid damage cooldowns. Target cap is never gonna get increased (nor would it help all that much), but spell redesigns are at least possible.
Or just give us back the real SEF and not this awful post legion version.
Monk
Windwalker
All damage decreased by 4%. Does not apply to PvP combat.
Slicing Winds damage increased by 20%. Does not apply to PvP combat.
So that happened… frustrated that it wasn’t the tier that was hit instead of the spec. Seems short sighted and out of touch.
Nerfing WW monk? I mean it’d be a bit hypocritical of them if the were to do that …
Ret Paladins have been gods amongst men for ages now and they’re hardly getting bonked enough to make a difference to that. lol
WW seems to finally be VIABLE and FUN.
- Ironically they stripped much of that ‘Fun’ element away from Elemental shaman when they F’d the Primordial Wave ability for the elemental spec.
I’d say Windwalker’s damage balances out though, given they got like two defenses and those defensive cooldowns are all around 1.5 minutes – After that, they’re boned … Which as a leather-based melee spec → Can be quite the bind in particular situations, both PvE and PvP combined.
You wanted the tier set to get nerfed? That’s an odd take, it’s not that strong already (~6% in single target from 4set, little more in aoe).
Hm? Why? We’re very strong in raid atm, a nerf was well within expectations and you might even argue that we got off easy.
Ret is good atm, not as strong as ww (in raid) and not OP in m+ on the more competitive levels.
Having three solid defensives on a 90 sec cd is really strong, and you have Dance of the Wind to cover any physical damage. We are anything but squishy atm.
Yes instead of a nerf to our actual class when the set bonuses no longer there we still suffering from the nerf
