The problem is that you’re taking a sledgehammer to a problem that requires a chisel.
GDKPs have organically arisen due to the prevalence of PUG-able content and the ease of acquiring wealth. “Just ban GDKPs and everyone who joins them” is accepting a grossly high false-positive rate of legitimate players.
Runescape had a similar dilemma some 15 years back. To counter RMT they extremely restricted how much gold could be transferred between players. This effectively killed player trading and turned Runescape into a solo game while it was in effect because gold and rare items became worthless.
But hey - they slowed down RMT so it was all worth it, right?
These people will never understand nuance. They’re the same people who ended up cursing us with the token and always the first to buy it when it drops.
