I think it’s pretty overstated.
VDH has a leap with two charges on a 12 second cooldown if talented. The second charge can’t even begin recharging until the first one completes its cooldown.
Besides that we’re talking a short movement speed increase on a 45 second cooldown if talented? Isn’t that speed increase stunted while holding the flag anyway?
The frustration doesn’t really stem from how fast they are but rather their ability to bypass terrain restrictions with leap and double jump / glide.
Between double dash, vengeful retreat, spirit walk (or whatever it’s called), and base movement speed increase from mastery, I’d say that havoc is much faster- which is obviously not a tank spec. Maybe WW monk too.
For some reason, monk mobility with orbs/carts etc is restricted. Monk rolls for example don’t go as far on some maps. It’s not consistent and doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. The rules don’t seem to be applied logically or consistently as far as mobility with objectives goes.
This. You go no where if you blink with a cart. Or if you sprint, or roll or whatever. For some reason, they left DHs off the list when they said “movement increases will be hindered or nullified when carrying the cart”.
And warriors can leap with the cart. Leaps work which both dh and warriors have.
Yea i forgot about them. But i think the best solution would be to 1) let everyone’s movement abilities work or 2) No ones does.
All the best rbg strategies seem to revolve around having a VDH. But probably isn’t a huge issue until you go past 1600’s.
Slows don’t affect teleport abilities.
Yeah, I thought the thread was about warriors at first. Both are way overpowered with respect to battleground mobility.
Disengages also work, such as druid Wild Charge (even the hop the deer form). I lose a a fantastic self-heal talenting for it though.
Nah its pretty cancer at high elo as well, if your team is smart you can basically kite for forever, DH mobility is an issue but by itself its not a huge problem its that DH mobility + lifegrips, + ring of peace, + whatever makes it really hard to stick to an FC.
