Let us skip quest chain for Draenor and Garrison

Well the questline doesn’t start right where your garrison ends up is what I’m getting at.

The Alliance quest starts near the water to the west, near the big boat. The Horde one near a cave behind where the garrison ends up. Never known anyone to have an issue with it and done it many many times myself.

Not trying to come off like a dick or anything just saying :slight_smile:

I flew all around that area looking and saw no quest to build my garrison anywhere near it.

Do you have any characters that need to go to Draenor right now? I’d gladly log on and try to help you find the quest :slight_smile:

Nope. I had just finally used the free boost I got when I purchased BfA for my Zandalari Druid and wanted to set up her garrison. I finally just did the tedious chain to get it done.

When I get my new Kul Tiran Warrior and Zandalari Shaman up to that level I am going to go look with them first, too, and I really hope you are right, because I hate that chain.

Yeah the chain is definitely there, I know it threw me off before because you go to where your garrison should be and it’s like wtf. Had the same issue until someone showed me where they start at.

And, Blizzard, stop hiding important npcs. Put these guys smack dab in the middle of the garrisons where they should be.

The problem with the entirety of WoD is, if you don’t unlock your garrison, 90% of the quests won’t unlock either.

I have a no-kill alt. She has no garrison because she can’t kill those ravens, or the one after that with the named mob, in order to unlock it.

Very few quests are available to her out in the open world.

WoD is probably the most on-rails ever.

Just snag all the treasures, easy 15k without rested per treasure if you have full BOA’s. Should get you a few levels haha.

I just want my garrison because it’s the closest thing to player housing we will ever get. And I still enjoy building them up, too.

  1. The reason why a boost no longer gives you a fully upgraded garrison, is because that’s NOT what people wanted. It makes no logical sense to have NEVER even been to Draenor and yet somehow, able to have it fully upgraded. That was basically paying blizzard for free advancement. Over people who couldn’t afford/buy boosts.
  2. You can skip it. Just don’t go to the dark portal, where you start the quest chain. Done.

We can skip it now, right? We always had the option with the Timeless Isle thing but now there’s a portal right to Ashran.

This is one of the most entertaining quests ever. I’ve wrote my name, drawn a huge spiral, covered the entire area with gunpowder, etc.

I keep saying this, they would make leveling a lot more fun if they just level scaled everything up to the start of the current expansion. What is the negative? Blizzard always focuses on the current expansion anyway, why does it matter how I get to level 110.

And the dungeon finder would be a lot less boring if we had access to every dungeon from level 1-110. It’s so boring when you keep getting the same dungeon, Temple of the Jade Serpent between level 80-86 and your stuck with only Bloodmaul Slag Mines between level 90-93, I want more then 1 dungeon in those level brackets!!!

They should never do this. The scaling they did is perfect but a level 120 boar in Durotar is stupid.

The point of your level and the mob’s level is progression.

For the millionth time, it’s not about physically getting to Draenor. I took the Ashran portal and got there quite fine. The problem is there is no npc who gives the quest to establish the garrison once you do get there.

I have since been told that there is an npc but it’s not actually at the garrison, so how is anyone supposed to know where they are? I couldn’t find it myself but will investigate that today.

But whether there is a poorly placed npc or not, give us the option at the portal to say we’ve heard this story before.

I think its a nice idea to let us skip that part, and since they let us skip bfa scenarios, which are still relevant content, why not?

You have to go to the shore where you land and ride to where you build your garrison.

I did it yesterday on an alt. You meet Velen by the wrecked ship you steal at the very end of the scenario.

You go up the hill and begin building your garrison.
