I really wish they’d just respond to half the things being talked about. If they just balled up and said “We’re not doing that”, then I’d stop posting.
I hate the feeling that we have spineless devs who won’t just take control of their game.

i just dont understand why they couldnt add anything OG tbc had… instead they add mount and new hearth look for something like $60ish dollars… people have been asking for this and character transfer amount same bnet account… its not like they need to go out of their ways to enable this feature, just enable it

1 Delete your character
2 have friend make a level 1 with your name
3 restore your character and be prompt to change the name because it is taken
4 send me gold as payment
That doesn’t work. When you try to restore it tells you “a character with that name already exists” and refuses the restore.
It has been that way since Legion.
That’s not true at all, it prompts you to rename. Test it on a level 10 character right now. I’ve used this method twice already
The level you try it on matters. I tried it on a level 60 warlock and it denies you.

There’s 2 ways to go about obtaining a name change in TBC Classic:
- Get as many people as possible to flag your name so that you may rename your character
- Server transfer to another server where that name is taken. Alternatively, make the same character name on another server, and then transfer incase it wasn’t taken.
nah, that doesn’t work. I’ve tried.
The deleted character’s name gets put on hold by the server and becomes unusable for some period of time

To be fair the paid name change was a service that was added in late TBC, so having it in TBCC isn’t a horrible idea. I have a few toons I’d likely name change.
I would rather have a paid appearance respec within same race choice. Certain hairstyles just clip things a bit too annoyingly for my taste.
if your level 60, it does not work, upon deleting it keeps that name for 30 days for lvl 60.
lower level, you can take the name and it will ask you to name change…
CAN WE PLEASE GET A BLUE POST ABOUT NAME CHANGES THAT WAS IN original TBC? i am not sure why this is such a long process to enable along with character transfer across same bnet account
