So it was an issue with glyphs, but after the grimoire system was added and pet customization to the barbershop, it’s still a problem. Some demons, like the void lords and fel succubus, have different names from their original forms (voidwalker and succubus). They have a separate name and there’s no way to change it like you can with the base versions. Either have the alternate forms take the base form names or give us the ability to change the alternate form names.
Also, to change our demon pets’ names, we have to go to the slaughtered lamb’s basement and pay 50g to change it to a randomized name. It can add up quick if you’re picky and it’s annoying having to go through the npc dialog options to do so. Why not let us do this at the barbershop? A little randomize name button just like there is at character creation.
If these issues could be addressed, that’d be awesome!
I’m not a big “bUt mUH lOrE” guy, but from a lore perspective, you’re pretty much summoning a different demon, not slapping some chrome and a coat of paint on him.
You’re slapping chrome and a coat of paint on them in the barbershop and they aren’t treated as a different demon there, so I don’t see how this can be an argument against it. The current way name changing works, the old demon just fades away and a new one spawns in right away, it’s nothing fancy.
All of the imps share the same name, even though they’re different kinds. Anyway, I’m not asking for what you’re talking about, I’m asking for the ability to change the name of every demon that has a unique name.
