Unless you have some other specific arrangement, let them do the pulling.
Are they going as fast as you’d like them to? Maybe not.
Are they going as fast as they can handle the mobs? Probably.
Is it a dumb idea to rush ahead, pull a bunch of stuff, die, and then blame the tank for dying after he told you not to do that… twice?
Yes.

Grom dude, you know this isn’t how it works anymore.
DPS will pull, always, healers and tanks then struggle to clean up the mess.
DPS take loot and credit they won’t take the blame though.

It honestly depends on the circumstances. Some tanks lack confidence and waste tons of time between pulls because of it. I’ve even seen this in higher M+ keys. In that case, you kind of have to force it. They’ll react to mobs running toward the group.
But if there are no gaps between pulls other than a second to let the healer start drinking for mana when necessary there’s no reason to pull extras in harder content.
If it’s queued content it’s probably easy enough that the DPS could handle it even if the tank can’t. Might be rude, but isn’t really a big deal there either.

What annoys me more than DPS pulling, it’s healers keeping them alive. Just let them die bruh.

The worst is dps who can’t seem to make up their freaking minds.
If it’s still going smoothly I just let the dps do their thing, consecrate will catch the pulls no worries. However, when there’s a dps that’s been pulling all run and suddenly half way between the second and third boss just stops pulling, dont start telling me to go.
I’m waiting on the dps

Nah, i’ll heal anyone that speed up the run.
Nothing is more boring than healing a grandma tank, literally nothing happens and you can’t afk either.

When I’m tanking, you can do whatever the hell you want, I will try to tank and save the group, if we do wipe, I will point out that you pulled for me, blame shifting won’t work.
When I’m DPSing, unless the tank is ultra slow, I will wait for the tank to pull. If he is ultra slow, and I mean it (some tanks that wait like 1 minute between pulls) if I can handle the adds, I will pull, if not I’ll ask him, privately, to hurry, if he still procrastinates, then I will try to talk the rest of the group, openly, into booting him.

If i am tanking, I will let the dps tank it and die then I will kick them.

If you’re not chain pulling, you’re doing it wrong. You only stop to let the healer get mana, or to dbm pull a boss

If dps or the healer keep pulling, then i got no problem dropping the group or pulling lots more for the “tank” and watching them die and then leaving. Dps complain about long que times, and then wanna be stupid and pull everything.

I try, but my big bear butt gets in the way! What, I’m the tank? When did that happen…
Nothing says they have to get healed.
Or stand back and ask me to MD a boss on them.

If a dps keeps pulling then simply votekick them out.
A dps is easily replaceable.
A tank or healer isn’t.
Let them cry and rage, they know what they did.

I’m all for letting the tank set the pace . Only time I get irritated with them is when they want to pull all the trash . Especially when the group is past the point of leveling.
Waid’s rules for group content.
1: Tank aggros as much as he can
2: Waid pew pews while avoiding standing in stupid
3: Rest of team does what they need to
4: Things die
5: Rinse and repeat

I did that the other day and the dps whispered me said wtf. I told him that I said before that if you keep pulling before I do, I am kicking you. He replied with you are a crap tank and should uninstall the game. Love this community.

“You are a crap tank for not letting me pull!” Just love that logic.

Depends, if I see the tank can defo handle more mobs I will pull more without hesitation especially if it’s a higher key. If the run is going smooth with no problems what so ever then I don’t pull extra mobs.
The most annoying DPS are the ones who want to do the pulling, but not the tanking. In other words, pull and force the tank to pick it up.
If you wanna pull, tank. Just grow a pair and tank.
