no need to have separate servers for them, just give us ironman emblems in chat to show that we are ironmen accounts on the same server so we can gloat at all the softcore traders
There is no need for anything.
But it could turn out to have a specific unique server dynamic that’s attractive long term.
Neither side of HC will be long term.
ehh I think that it could also happen if both types of accounts were on the same server, and we could even compare which one is more popular

I’m sorry how many where doing hardcore with their own ruleset before the addon and how many after with only the addon ruleset? So it’s not “to me.”

No, duos and trios can only trade within duos and trios but not use the AH or Mail or trade w/ anyone outside their party.

No, that is soul of iron. Hardcore includes not interacting with AH, Mails and Player to Player trades as per the addon called Hardcore (which has the Hardcore rule set).

According to whom? Cause there are pretty good MMOs W/O trades. As for the MMORpgs, the fact the you are with others in the same world at any given time is what makes it stand out, trading is byproduct and not a factor of social activities. And in some MMO RPGs you cannot use the trading hubs until a certain unlock which is usually level but sometimes currency money. So no, it is not what makes MMORPGs stand out from solo, it is a possible consequence of the social activity that makes MMORPGs stand out from solo RPGs.
People only play SSF because they have to, it sucks.

If I could play by my own rules and group with other people playing Hardcore I would but the add on is a must so… it’s the SSF add on way.
I hope blizzard just takes it and we don’t need the HC mods on their power trip. The same people who complained about gate keeping in other wow communities are now the ones doing it with their add on.
Have to be in their guild, listen to their rules to make themselves feel better about themselves.
The fact folks worry about theirs counting because of arbitrary rules is silly. Whatever they do I just hope it removes power from these neck beards

I was definitely not picking on you or what you had to say but rather trying to expand on it.
There are quite a few players that are getting inappropriate language and actions directed toward them - both hc and not. Public channels are a cesspool at times and that was the only inking I had of what hc players were facing from within a somewhat fractured base divided by measuring contests predicated by chest thumping over who was most hardcore.
I hope you and others can still enjoy your favored playstyle be that on the official server/servers or elsewhere. BsB should have continued to be a place where differing ideas could coexist as they once did. Maybe the official hc could be that way as well.
But mean people suck.

That would be great. The current server is filled with the toxic gogo gimme gimme crowd so between that and the overly crowded zones, playing there is a nightmare. I’d love a smaller community that’s all on one page.

Yeah but like, why bother to make official HC realms then? They’re basically just making an extra normal server, but putting in one line of code to make people not be able to rez.
If you’re going to make a HC realm, MAKE AN HC REALM.

I believe they really want ordinary fresh Classic.
There will be plenty of mages who can help those who can’t manage to get out of the level 20 zones … for a small fee. Anyone who thinks HC servers with normal rules will be free of bots, boosters and scammers is delusional.
