You ever seen people who don’t mog their gear? They look horrendous
The hottest of takes.
Default mogs to tier sets. Good Goddess.
Corgi goggles will fix your problem. You can hide those pesky transmogs with that!
MY IMMERSION!
Shield your eyes, folks.
I’m a bit torn here.
On the one hand? I really don’t care how other people see my character all that much.
On the other hand, however, turning off transmog only feels like it’d increase the clown show with everyone wearing mismatched pieces of whatever is currently BiS for them.
Good lord, you should get a dps penalty for looking like that
I am playing sod at max and it looks fine. Nobody looks out of place even with the differwnt sets. Tbc was a bit different due to the rainbow color sceme on every bit of gear. Dragonflight armor looks fine.
So you don’t like pink, hearts or rainbows, I am seeing a trend here.
So it’s okay to you that people are still using weapons canonically destroyed, but somehow a pink dress is what ruins your immersion?
Get over yourself.
This is a trash-house idea.
You don’t get to dictate others’ fashion. If you don’t like the look, then don’t look at it. If they’re part of your PUG, well tough luck. Either get over it or find another group.
What’s a fortnight skin?
If I understand most of the OP’s request, they aren’t ‘dictating’ what other people wear or the appearances they choose for their character, they are asking that they be able to choose what they see.
It doesn’t impact anyone else. They won’t even know if any player around them has it turned off. It’s a totally null effect. Me, I don’t see the issue. I mean, will it happen? Not likely, I doubt the devs would spend the time on it. But in principle, I also dont see why people get all worked up about the idea.
Not reading through any of this, save for the OP. This post reeks of entitlement, and bait.
nah
What’s wrong, you don’t like all the fugly sailormoon wannabes running around?
Edit: don’t worry op, in a month or two ppl will get tired of how ridiculous they look and change their mog.
We saw the game without transmog back in vanilla and bc. It did not look better.
Again, I don’t get people’s reactions here.
The OP is not saying turn off ALL transmog. They are asking for an option to turn off THEIR VIEW of transmog. As in, you still see everything, but they don’t, they just see what the person is wearing.
Does everyone actually understand that, or is it mostly just kneejerk reaction?
I’d be fine with the option since I don’t even care to waste time making a transmog for most characters and I don’t care to notice what others are using.
The problem is that the OP brought up RP servers to use as a crutch for his point. And at that point if he had that option, he’s breaking other people’s immersion when he’s seeing something other than what other people are trying to present for their characters. He’s trying to dictate what our immersion is for the sake of his point and him being squeamish about a sailor moon transmog
So, then what will you do when people use toys to change their race, appearance, etc.?
And the new murloc toy just adds to the mix.
And once I convince Blizzard that we need a Dancing Baby toy…
None of the artifact weapons were “physically” destroyed. Just their power was siphoned into the Sword of Sargeras to depower it. Alternatively you could say that people are just wielding “replicas”
