Title. Let me flag as alliance so I can actually see people when I’m world questing.
I’ve leveled ally toons in the past to wpvp on alliance dead servers, but since everything is sharded and I don’t really know anyone since “community” is pretty dead, let me just murder anyone I see.
Absolutely not. If you want to quest as Alliance, pay for a faction change so you can actually get the full Alliance experience like us real Alliance. Or better yet, reroll an Alliance character from scratch.
If Blizz wants to give you an FFA mode that makes you red to both factions, though, that would be fine, and might even be a good idea. Obviously you could only get the neutral world quests, though.
I’m not really interested in the “full alliance experience” since it seems that’s mostly turning off warmode and hiding.
I just want wpvp and I don’t feel like grinding out gear on 2 characters.
But hey, if you want less people on your side, and warmode to be a horde only feature, you got your wish.
That’s ok being a REAL Alliance player isn’t for the fant of heart. Sadly your pampered little hordie heart couldn’t take the Full Alliance experience.
FFA WQ like back in legion would be ok. FFA wpvp not so much.
I’ve stayed in war mode since it first became available, but thanks! We need all the targets we can get.
As an opt in thing on an individual basis? Rogues would finally be able to gank everyone that hates them, instead of only those on the opposite faction.
That could be fun. Make it like a duel option. Like hey that player just took my node time for a duel To the DEATH!!!
It’s not finally, they did it in Legion with Talon’s revenge rep and in MoP on the island.
@OP, maybe you should try ED, I hear WPVP is still pretty good there.
If someone could confirm/deny that, that would be great.
The forums are pretty vocal about alliance hating warmode etc… Welp, I just switched this rogue and my druid to alliance… Totally worth it. The only thing I have found (granted, I moved 2 stealth classes) to be in line with the forums is that there are tons, TONS of horde… Everywhere.
Other than that, I gank hordies all the time, and often alliance members just randomly jump in on the fun.
All in all I am stoked to have switched to the alliance. It’s been a blast
