I started a whole bunch of new allied race characters, my old characters are dead to me. Let me hide them… so far the only work around I’ve found is to make new “camps” - I’ve named them all “Delete” “Delete 2” - 3, 4 5 etc etc. Having my actual characters I play in a non camp.
Surely there’s a better way… I’d like to see some kind of “mark as inactive” option, I don’t want them to show up.
I just put some in a camp and rename the camp, then minimize it.
That’s what I’ve done hence my camps named “Delete” etc 
but it’s really annoying imo. We need a better solution.
Mine is for names I hope to use should certain races ever become playable.
If you plan to delete them anyway then…you know, just delete them.
Not technically delete per say I wish I could hide them from the deleted list too. I just want to hide them.
Why are you clinging to stuff you don’t even want to look at?

Theres a button at the bottom its says delete
Just keep your most played toons at the top and the least at the bottom of the character list.
I’ve done this but the “camps” are at the top and not below the character list. Wish I could at least move those down the bottom so I didn’t have to see them.
I know it sounds crazy and maybe OCD but yeah I’ve started new characters on a different server so all of my older characters are dormant. I doubt I’ll go back to them. I don’t want to hard delete them however.
Keep your favorites in the camps and the ones you do not play on the old-style list. This will give you easy access to the ones you like and most of the others will be off screen unless you scroll. Reverse what you are doing. Or try using alphabetizing as far as naming the camps. “Awesome Favorites” -------> “Zero Playing”
That would work except camps aren’t sortable, and insist on being at the top of the list.
Yeah it does depend on when you create them for their position. I do hope they make them moveable eventually.

Why don’t you just delete them?
I don’t want to delete them just hide them from view, I wish it were possible or as Soulebreaker said:
I’ve put the ones I don’t want to see in camps and minimized them they still appear at the top though maybe they’ll make the moveable in the future. 
I probably suffer from the same thing that troubles you OP. I wish I could put away a character for a few months. I am also doing a ‘Inactive Camp’ for a few of my characters soon.
Yep! I knew I wasn’t the only one with this problem 
I have 4 or 5 camps just named "Delete “Delete 2” “Delete 3” etc etc. I might rename them to Inactive actually.

why not just actually delete those characters instead?
