After Venrukis 1,000+ response thread and Fox’s 500+ response thread we still aren’t getting pvp vendors?
And to add insult to injury they are giving PvE’ers a gear vendor?
Do I have this correct?
Does blizzard understand how this looks from a pvp’ers perspective? Because to me it feels like hot diarrhea is dripping down my face after blizzard grabbed their ankles and let loose a blast of post chipotle excrement.
Vendors would reduce the time played metric, with the old system from WoD it took 1 day to gear an alt.
Blizzard have nothing positive to tell investors other than ‘‘Hurr durr players are playing an avg of XXX hours a day, our game is good look at zhe numbers… Just don’t look at the revenue or sub numbers’’
And the PvE vendors have been designed around the filthy time played metric, 6 weeks of +10’s to get a BIS item. What a _ u _ _ing joke.
Increase subs because players would have a reason to play again. If people aren’t subbed the time metric is ZERO. So it makes no sense No one wants to play hot garbage RNG where ideal gear is “Unattainable”
Maybe but so does having ridiculous systems that people don’t like. A lot of people would rather just not play lately
If they did add vendors it wouldn’t necessarily have to be get full gear in a day, the pacing would just have to make sense with the length of a season. So… not really like Burning Crusade honor grinds but maybe some sort of middleground?
I don’t get why that’s such a big deal to them. I’m paying you 15 a month either way, why the hell do you care that I’m only playing it for 5 hours a week instead of 30? You’re getting 15 either way, but pissing people off in the process and losing subs.
Because time played is highly correlated with micro transactions. The more someone plays the more they buy boosts, pets, renames, tokens, etc.
Even with the state of the game I doubt they are losing THAT many subs. Look at me for example: I honestly despise the game at the moment. But I’m still subbed. They know they aren’t getting new players, and aren’t really going to lose the players they have had for the last decade. All they want to do is milk every last penny out of their existing player base for as long as possible.
They acknowledged it in the PVE gear vendors thread, said they were discussing it and that we should look for something about PVP vendors soon… but then there was nothing?
Yeah it’s absurd. Not to mention they’re introducing new, ridiculous trinkets next patch too, which are also RNG. WoD’s gearing system was more than fine, now they’ve just infuriated what little of the PvP playerbase is left.
They have to see how vendors play out in PvE first guys, even though we’ve had them for y’know, 10 years. Nbd.
That is what I loved about the WoD and MoP PvP vendors. I get bored with classes fairly quick, so that catch up mechanic allowed me to have 5 different classes to pvp with. This most definitely increased my play time because in both legion and BFA I unsubbed after the first couple months because I got bored with my main and didn’t want to spend the time to gear an alt, whereas before in MoP and WoD I would just switch to alts to play the game fresh again and gear in 1 day or a week depending on the time I had each day.
