Personally, I would like them to think about WoW2, rather than redo the old content. Rip the page up and think what WoW2 would look like.
But they wonât. Blizzard isnât going to get into the habit of fragmenting their game much more. You already wanted it fragmented, and youâre getting classic.
Why would they make a Burning Crusade-only game, then a Wrath-only game? Whatâs next?
âYou think you do, but you donâtâŚâ
I want bc and wotlk but I was thinking even longer than thatâŚlike 16 months minimumâŚ
Although I have no idea how fast the 5 phases will be released and picked clean.
As long as they keep those xpacs separate from the classic server I am all for it and encourage it as there people who love those parts of the game more so then the rest.
If there was one QOL(quality of life) I would ask for cross server ques for battlegrounds to keep things interesting. Aside from that I love classic in itâs entirety exactly the way it is.
A cool concept I read somewhere else on the forums is having a classic+ that would add content but keep the mechanics of the game the same. For instance, skills, talents, enchants, and pvp mechanics/pve mechanics all of that stuff is fine. Also, having new content would allow the game to continue to grow in itâs original form and promote a long life for classic. However, I would also be fine with having classic the way it is for years to come. Happy gaming to all my fellow pvpers/pvers I look forward to seeing you dead in STV bwhahaha.
TBC makes me gag.
Elves on the horde, flying, single hallway dungeons, dead world pvp.
Why would anybody in their right mind want to go back? Retail is much closer to TBC than classic ever will be.
Iâm praying fo classic+
So, I like the idea of going in a new direction. But, youâd have to exclude Wrath. Not because I or anyone else doesnât like it. But because Wrath included the inception of the LFG tool. What most people consider the turning point toward the âinstant gratificationâ and âeverything is the sameâ version that is available on retail currently.
While I would like to see new content, if they do it at all, the only reasonable way to do it would be immediately post Naxx. Because, if we start down the lore line into BC, it will inevitably land us right back where we are with BFA. Cut the losses and start lobbying for an entirely new timeline vs. taking the first step into BC.
Agreed 100%. All REAL fans of classic should realize TBC servers will diminish the chance of classic + content happening.
Be warned, if you are a true classic fan SUPPORT TBC SERVERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Sure, but I think at least once you hit Wrath thereâs gotta be some pretty systemic changes coming along with it. Mostly centered around raid design, and LFG, and general difficulty.
A release of TBC content into classic without invalidating progression would be incredible
id be fine with tbc and thats it.i liked wow with no new classes tho i wouldnt mind playing 2hd frost again.
Hot Take: Cataclysm was a great expansion when it first released. Dungeons were difficult, the Raids were pretty good, the world felt incredibly active thanks to the revamp encouraging alts - and this caused WPvP to actually come back in force.
Then they nerfed everything into the ground for some god forsaken reason.
No TBC or WOTLK, classic plus new content please.
Itâd be interesting to see them release WOTLK without LFG etc.
Cata did less to ruin the community than Wrath, Iâll give it that.
But Cata also destroyed the Old World, and in the name of nostalgia that must not be allowed to happen.
its a pipe dream, but we can dream right?
I am in the same boat as you I only want classic thats it I could care less if they release other xpacs just donât let them interfere with classic.
I wouldnât mind a WoD server, but with actual content. Perhaps they could include all those things that were cut off from it, and put it into the revised server.
I started in Wrath so I cant begin to say how excited I am to try classic turning my account back on to do so. I hope no changes are made to it, and Burning Crusade and Wrath follow. But they should be separate and always remain separate. I would play characters on them all! Im guessing after Blizz rolls out all the Classic phases we will see a BC server or at least be announced. Theyâd be smart to capture the crowd like me who doesnât enjoy retail anymore.
I really really reaaallllly want a re release of BC and WotLK. Those were my fondest memories of WoW, but if they do re release I have a few stipulations I would like addressed. I would really love it if Dungeon Finder was never added to the WotLK re release, and this is way way more niche and nobody will agree or care, but I wish Seal of Blood/Martyr were still in the game. If they re released those twe expansions without Dungeon Finder that would guarantee a sub from me, and guarantee I donât play retail
