While I like Dungeon Finder, go play Wrath or soon Cata for that. Retail has it too to some degree
I’m all for it but not clamoring for it either. I don’t feel it’s as necessary for SoD as it is for later expansions. Cool if they decide to add it but no bother if they don’t
Now, an actual group finder where people can list themselves for the content they want to run would be wonderful
this is fine. its basically what the LFG addon does.
people wanting the teleport to and from dungeon need to uninstall
What addon is that?
LFG Bulletin Board
Thank you!
Dungeon finder is already in the game. You can use it whenever you want.
In retail.
Bye.
lfg bulletin board does that.
no need to add one .
if they did add something , the lfg tool from retail and not the random finder would be ideal.
the one they use for listing mythic dungeon groups and whatnot i mean.
def not the one that randomly puts you in a group and ports you to the instance.
No Dungeon Finder.
Lol, this isn’t exactly the #nochanges wow you folks think it is.
Telling folks to go to retail seems silly in SOD
Lfg addon is great
No it doesn’t. Retail players are max delusional. 30% of an xpac made out entirely of vanilla with a handful of new ABILITIES and tuning. Oh yea sure is a whole diff game!
No go to retail before you ruin this too.
I use LFG Matchmaker actually. but Bulletinboard is great also. I used that in TBCC.
Honestly I’d settle for just letting me summon people at the meeting stone. We’re halfway there anyway with these warlock closets.
Asking for rdf now feels like warriors being salty its hard to get into gnomer so they want a way to still get in lol
Very Positive. I recommend checking out j1mmy’s review of wow. He’s a long-time Runescape player who played each iteration of wow and found that as he progressed into new iterations of wow up to retail, he got to where he had 0 human interaction and the game did not feel like an MMO at all. Very eye opening.
Literally none in SoD, as all content is relevant. RDF should never be used for anything other than outdated niche content that without crossing servers is otherwise too hard to form groups for.
The cultural impact of not needing to communicate effectively to form teams and meet common goals is overall negative. At the very least, it is entirely contrary to the spirit of Classic.
No. You would immediately see the game start to die. Look at WotLK.
They didn’t “remove” it, it was never in this version of the game. You have no reason to expect it whatsoever, it would be heavy-handed of the devs to even consider it.
I’m not opposed to RDF in SoD. I would like it to be implemented carefully. Here are somethings I would like, if it were implemented.
-
Strictly solo queue. I understand people want to play with friends, but I anticipate a bullying problem given the community’s current state. There is a higher than necessary valuation for particular play styles, by enabling two or more players to queue together it creates an environment that allows for arbitrary selection based not on performance, but perception. As well as the ability to trade services for gold.
-
Teleportation to dungeons should be implemented upon acceptance of queue.
-
Leaving or getting kicked should hold a punishment. You agreed to join and work together to complete the dungeon, and by leaving or acting in a manner that prohibits the completion, you burden the other members. This punishment should extend beyond requeueing, perhaps a stats based debuff.
-
Vote to kick should be 3/5 members. A simple majority.
-
Encourage tanks and healers to queue via a small reward.
-
Restricted to same server only. RDF should be a passive way of forming a group. It doesn’t necessarily mean it should be the fastest.
No dungeon Finder in Classic ever. Absolutely not.
What do you think wrath is about?
It’s the premier raiding expansion.
It’s about dungeons and raids.
It’s literally only got a negative track record; I have no idea why people think they want it.
