Sounds about right to me. I don’t personally know anyone who’s doing it. To be fair that’s like less than five people. I have about 6 alts that could be doing it and I’m just acting like it doesn’t exist. Soon as I heard it was a beat-your-head-against-the-wall affair and not just something old for funsies, any interest instantly evaporated. There’s simply nothing there I want, to the point I could almost be offended by it, like they’re trying SO hard with the new werebear but not only do I not bear IT IS FREAKING FEL. So I would not want it even if I did. Ditto for literally everything that comes out of that place, I can easily exist without any of it.

That can’t be true. 3% sounds way too low. I’d put the number around 20% at least. Most of the challenges aren’t too hard. Unless we’re talking about doing ALL of them for that mount? Then I can see 3% seem more reasonable.

I don’t know why they release something like MT. I’m glad it’s going away for awhile. Completely idiotic to release it the state it’s in. I was very displeased to see a blue post saying they will tune everything and are aware of the some of the issues and then do absolutely nothing about majority of the challenges. I can get Xylem down to last phase consistently but I just don’t have the dps to kill the adds. Definitely not going to farm gear as my shadowlands gear should be BiS anywhere i go because it’s the current patch we are in.

It’s a joke if they think I’m dropping 100k or more and spending 50 hours or more to get a recolor tier set I can farm any day of the week.
If they had brought back artifact appearances or the replica lions head shield from the wow movie premiere or any number of other cool things I would have probably spent a token (like they were hoping people would do for this challenge) to farm these items.
Recolor tier 20? Get lost. If you can’t put something awesome or original as a reward you are NOT getting my money for a token and time to farm it.
Haven’t even zoned into mage tower on one toon and refuse to do so.
3% is 3% no matter if it’s the entire population or part of the population. Percentages are favored when comparing different sized populations. That’s why you often see “per capita” numbers when talking statistics of a city. It gives a relative comparison. Per capita is a percentage, with the exception of instead of using 100%, they use X number of people for every 100,000.
I would say the sample size is large enough to make an educated guess. In the end, Blizzard has all the data, but if they don’t release it to us, we can only estimate. Scraping the Armory for the achievement data is the best anyone outside of Blizzard will be able to do, but as I said, the sample size should be large enough to make an educated guess.
But but people have to poke holes if something is out there that contradicts their whole "Its not hard its easy and loads of people are doing it " arguement !
I couldn’t even be bothered to log in for an essentially free mount during the anniversary event. Why would I ever log in for a worse MT. I suspect the numbers are skewed by a lot of people like me.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that the mage tower completion is better than it looks exactly. It’s just that the event is so laughably bad that people just aren’t bothering to run it.
MT was FOMO BS the first time around and its BS FOMO this time around, only now with worse rewards. Its still badly designed and balanced though. The only time I would have been interested in the damn thing was if it was still legion scaled and gave the OG artifacts.
As it stands its just a poorly designed waste of time.

Perhaps Blizzard will actually pay attention to the poor participation/completion and figure out their argument, which had no merit to begin with considering actions they have taken/consistently continue to take, needs to go bye-bye and actual decent rewards need to be in place.
