Why? Because a lack of unwilling targets seems the greatest loss, followed by the mechanics-changing pvp abilities (which is a pretty bad idea).
So no more enrage timers or boss despawns?

Except that you’re wrong. You are flat out wrong. Mythic+ is possibly the most popular system Blizzard has ever added ever, and its specific implementation is able to take content designed for casual play and turn it into skill-testing content that scales appropriately for the way world of warcraft is actually played.
You are projecting hard. Try not to fall into depression with all the self victimization you beta.
Anithetical? My guy, do you know what genre you’re playing? MMOs are built on taking things away from you to grind all over again.
I have to agree with this entire assessment.
The Legion weapons WERE good, but yeah, they were borrowed power, put in place to fill a hole where all the classes had lost something.
BfA did a stupid by not fixing that hole, and then launching a similar system that wasn’t even CLOSE to being as good at the start. Even then, ones they tweaked it, it still isn’t AS good as the weapons, and the hole is still there from the missing parts of the classes.
I also agree that the BfA story was WAY too disjointed. Too many moving parts that didn’t come together well at the end.
Legion was actually way better than BFA. They learned their lessons and made legion legendaries buyable and put in bad luck protection and then they just forgot all those lessons and started over again as if it never happened in BFA.
Mythic plus in Legion was actually very good. They ruined the dungeons by scaling them around MDI level play. Probably because they got sick of people pulling half the dungeon and mowing it down. The vast majority of the player base isn’t as good as MDI players and doesn’t get to pick and choose their class/spec/gear for that particular event.
We don’t ALL have an interupt every 8 seconds but you damn well need it with all the casters with dangerous nonsense that MUST be interupted.
Legion weapon abilities actually changed your rotation and play style. In some cases even your stat preference. They tried to duplicate this with essences but failed utterly. They’re mostly just passives or buttons you hit on a cd for extra X, and don’t change your rotation at all outside of that GCD or channel.
This is one of the main reasons I really liked Legion. I thoroughly enjoyed the overall story. While artifacts were borrowed power, they had a lot of fun lore behind them. Plenty of class and spec specific quests so players would have a greater reason to level multiple characters. It was fun seeing the Legion story from various perspectives and meeting all sorts of NPCs and getting to learn about them. While I primarily used MM in WoD I went BM for Legion simply to meet Grif Wildheart, one of the original dwarven hunter trainers. I loved his reactions to being referred to as Brann Bronzebeard and how it carried over into BfA for the Hati quests. lol One of the reasons so many of my alts are languishing currently is because I have very little desire to go through the BfA story over and over. Along with all those new quests you got there were also a lot of things to collect like mounts different weapon looks and even they all had interesting bits of lore.
BfA disappointed me mainly for a story that left off with us being neutral, leaders of our class hall, to following leaders even if we really shouldn’t have. It also centered around too many characters I simply did not care for.
I like some of these things: M+, WM
I hate some too: Random Legendaries, PvE gear outperforming PvP earned gear
I think some just need tweaking: corruptions
Stop trying to suggest all of these things are equally terrible =/
The first part of your post makes sense and then it just flies off the rails lol
Ya I made a comment that most people I meet who hate m+ also struggle hard to even time low keys and his response was that I hates millions of people… I think he has some possible bipolar disorder.
It’s the most “popular” because it is the easiest access to gear in game, making raiding a pvp moot for aquasition of gear.
Yeah I hated legion but in no way am I ever going to turn around and say m+ sucks
The people we have to run them with on the other hand
Legion was overrated. It was only popular because people remembered the Mage Tower and Suramar questlines. Have we forgot the cancerous Legendary system, the ridiculous profession guide, the ridiculous artifact grind and the overall bad class tuning?
And no, liking the raid and dungeon designs is not a valid reason as to why an expansion good. Raids and dungeons have been always a staple part of WoW, that many will appreciate.
I liked artifact weapons overall, but I personally think they should’ve just kept them in or replaced it with a weapon you craft. Switching it to other gear was just a bad move because the weapon is only one piece of gear, and is the most important piece of gear almost always.
I think by far the very worst thing currently is if you just want to queue for the normal bg you like, there is literally NO WAY to get any gear of any kind. There should 100% be a way (like honor vendors that you could spend regular honor on) to obtain SOME kind of gear from just qeueing for say WSG to help be at least a little competitive in pvp, just not as powerful as the top tier arena gear. This has been a problem since at least legion and is absolutely awful.
I agree. These last 2 xpacs have been awful and have done nothing but ruin what was once an amazing game.
I wish they just kept going where they were going with WoD. People were mad because there wasn’t more of it!
Dont wrap BFA with Legion… Legion is like a top 3 Expac hands down. BFA is either the worst or runner up.

To be fair the dungeons in BFA are awful though and that’s one of many glaring issues with BFA. Don’t know why we are jam packed into dungeons, are they trying to force claustrophobia on us?
