Just wanted to remind everyone that in MoP remix, you had to farm the new weapon appearances. You could not buy them in arsenals even though literally every other collectable was purchasable.
So let’s not do that again this time Blizzard. Remix is a significant time spent away from Retail/Classic. Respect our time and let us buy EVERYTHING this time.
To clarify: it’s random wep appearances they may add (like in MOP). NOT the artifact appearances.

Weapons in Legion seem the obvious choice for the “cloak” this time around.
There were no actual weapon drops, just the items to upgrade theme with.
Curious to see what they do with them.
How’s that going to work for specs that use different weapon types?
Well it might not be weapons per say. It was just very weird that everything could be bought except these weapon appearances which had a super rare chance to drop. Hopefully everything is on a vendor in Legion and not some rare boss drop that you have to pray to get every day. So let’s hope they don’t do something wonky like making shoulders only drop off of bosses.
Could just be attached to the slots rather than the weapon itself.

The mode becomes click’n’collect anyway. I’d rather know I can eventually buy it rather than relying on RNG.
Well, the two options we have are “poorly” or “perfectly”.
I can’t wait to hear if MT appearances will be buyable, just so I can enjoy the drama.

I don’t see anyone gatekeeping the old appearances. But I do see many a-seething over those who didn’t get them. I think there will be more drama if Blizz announces they won’t be available.
Then they added those appearances into the Retail versions afterwards so you could go back to the ones you had 100%'d before and farm them yet again.
I hope they add artifact recolors. It’s a very beautiful weapon.
This is why I’m surprised Legion is the next remix. It’s only going to shake the hornets nest because of the weapon appearances. No matter what Blizzard opts to do, these forums are going to burn.
Personally I’m on the side of just let people have access to them. I finished all of the Mage Towers back in Legion (and I do mean all of them, every spec for every class) so I feel like I’m in a pretty good position to say that without coming off as someone who just wants to be entitled or whatever. I won’t even complain if the appearances are all handed out for free. No skin off my nose if other people get a bit of transmog. I don’t need to feel special, I just want to be able to make cool transmogs.
I really hope i can get my glowing cat form and feel like a real arch-druid…
I would have preferred WoD myself.
You can still just get them in retail though. More than likely they’ll make the RNG Legendaries more easily or directly accessible.
I think they meant the Cloak of Infinite Potential, the slot you get at the start which acts as the throughput for all of your stat buffs since Legion didn’t have weapons in the loot pools anyway*
*Other than like, 4 dungeons and 3 cosmetics from raids.
Legion Artifact Weapons had their own page, I’d imagine they’d adapt those pages for all Classes.
What will be interesting will be what they do with Evokers. Will they create an Artifact Weapon for them, or just adapt the Legendary Weapon from DL?
I suspect their Class Hall will be their refurbished starting zone.
Hopefully, we won’t still be restricted to one Evoker per Realm (which, AFAIK, is still the case).
