Legion: Mounts, Pets, and More

Sure but many players would also praise Legion whilst complaining about BfA class design which is almost identical.

Legion was good, after 7.2, noone can deny that. But the classes were awful to play for a lot of the expansion.
Agreed that is only an opinion though and people are entitled to differing opinions.

See, IMO, Legion was the framework for BfA. The rental skills, lousy scaling, god-awful gearing, and random iLevel tweaks all came with Legion.

It may have been more fun than BfA, but it was the bullet that turned the game gangrenous.

I don’t praise Legion. It clearly got out of hand at the last tier of it’s life. I was one shoting world quest mobs.

But offered a much better experience then now which is after and before which is WoD.

Now this is the kind of vim and vigour we should all aspire to have!

Definitely true, I 100% agree with that.
I initially was commenting on you saying since Wrath, when MoP and Cata still had very strong class design and the game still felt good to play.

The story and lore was definitely very polarizing for many players when they were current, but the actual gameplay compared to modern WoW was still miles above.

same as anything posted in blue.

…and people wonder why blue posters avoid this place like the plague

Maybe if Blizzard didn’t keep doing stupid things and then having the blues be the bearer of bad news people wouldn’t hate them?

Well to me end of Talent Tree is kind of where the downfall started truth be said. MoP had a fluid combat but the story was meh, then they messed with raid difficulties.

PvP was pretty good tho so those are my best memories of mop. Killing for Ordos was a life style at that point. Besides that, I don’t have a lot of win.

Most fun I had in Cata was doing RBG.

oh please.

even when they do something charitable, people still go out of their way to invent something to be offended about.

They do a lot of dumb crap and deserve a lot of flak. One charitable thing doesn’t outweigh the truckload of stupid stuff they have done with this game recently. They have a lot to atone for.

While bfa is by no stretch good. WOD takes the cake for just being slapped together after project titan went no where. Why they took everyone with a heart beat to work on that while leaving wow is beyond me.

I’m not from California. I can handle flak. I’ll be MORE than happy to take their job. Wish I could use “people are mean” excuse to not do what I’m paid to do.

:joy:

absolutely not.

tell you what, why don’t you design something which is used daily by millions of people world-wide, and come back in 15 years and see if people still subscribe to your product for the sole reason of having the ability to tell people how terrible it is.

I was watching a 2005 Blizzcon video and it was hilarious how the complaints they were talking about are the same as today. Bugs, design choices, “Why don’t you let us play our way”. Also there was one part where he said, “We learned a lot, mostly to just ignore the forums”. He was joking of course, but the forums, the forums never change.

One thing we can all agree on: They truly shot themselves on the foot with this post. There were several things they could and still can do to benefit from the pandemic and drive their revenue up with minimal cost to them, but…telling us to go hunt for last expansions’ mounts certainly isnt one of them. Well deserved flak, if you ask me.

It’s strange how many blue posts there have been lately. I wish there were some that showed some concern for the problems there have been and will be.
