Every bit of gear upgrades makes a key slightly easier, so yes it will make a difference
Its gonna feel a bit bad not having it when augmentation comes out, I half suspect that once the item runs its course it’ll be converted into an augmentation talent since it is already basically one.
It took me over 3 years of farming BT weekly on two demon hunters to finally get the warglaives, and I’ve been farming MC for over 3 years and still haven’t got the last binding I need to make Thunderfury, some things just take time.
Agreed. I am not say give it to me right now. I think that is what some people aren’t seeing. The whole point was that this could’ve been handled A LOT better, imo. I don’t mind grinding, not one bit. Monster Hunter, and D4/D3 are games I enjoy with a lot of grinding but there is a pay out sooner than later in some of those cases.
Agreed. I love the grind. It can be such a rewarding experience for your investment to pay off. But this doesn’t feel like a grind. It’s a weekly lottery with tiered lottery tickets constantly reminding you that you suck and you’re unlucky. From what I can tell, once you get the drop the “work” afterwards is trivial.
Ironic. Because complaining about the legendary is so original and brings SO much to conversation and we just all LOVE to talk about it.
I mean. Yes? I at least brough up past items, and some rough maths. So like your point?
My point is, you’re not saying or adding anything else yourself that hasn’t been complained about MANY times already on this forum. You’re not adding ANYTHING of value to anything. You just want something to complain about. It wont affect you at all.
This^
You could spend a fraction of the time you’ve been complaining on the forums working on improving that heroic parse and get way more use out of your time.
Far more than an orange weapon will give you.
Agreed, but you’re talking to a brick wall.
One thing a lot of the “You don’t ACTUALLY need it” crowd are forgetting is that classes live and die by community perception, if you are a GM recruiting for next tier, are you gonna take the evokers with the legendary or without? When evokers sign up to your pugs are you gonna take the one that has “legendary” in the note?
Knowing now that Ion said that they aren’t going to nerf it, that to me indicates they are going to cave on drop rate eventually… So why not now? It’s gonna be BiS or damn close to for 10.2, especially for Pres and Aug. I don’t see the need to timegate it with RNG further, it’s not gonna effect prog since HoF is closed.
You’re going to take the evoker with good parses that knows their class and does mechanics. The legendary can be one week away, but a mediocre player with a legendary is not going to be good just because they have it.
If they do care, they’re either top 1% (and probably won’t target evokers with the Lego even then) or they’re actually idiots.
No GM that runs a decent guild is strictly inviting someone to a guild just because they have an item that will, in the grand scheme, become obsolete eventually.
I’m not really clear why exactly you would come back to this post if you disagree with the opinions other players have provided. You have a different opinion and that is fantastic. However, you don’t need to keep coming back to this thread to try and force your view on other players. You’ve stated your opinion that you disagree with others, and they disagree with you. So, move on.
I find it odd that anyone that’s this unhappy is entitled to keep posting on this thread but anyone that thinks they’re overreacting isn’t entitled to the same, lol.
Is this just an echo chamber support group where any dissent isn’t welcome?
Nah I am happy to be here. I do my part, and what is required for my raid to be able to clear the content. Also the weapon isnt based on how your parse is to have it drop. Good try though.
Oh! So I have to ready all the forums before posting my own? Within this ‘echo chamber’, as some people who can’t form any other argument besides that, I have provided actually drop rates of other items and etc. I am not going to /read/ the whole ‘forums’ to be able to express my opinion. You on the other hand have literally not said anything but base your stances at more attacking the person.
No. You just keep saying an echo chamber and rather go after players over providing something like countering drop chances or like some actual game function to prove that this item has been handled correctly, in your opinion.
All their ish is personal attacks after you disagree. Saying we are entitled and what not, when I don’t think anyone here has said they deserve the item.
one day you’ll learn how to multiquote so 25% of the posts in this thread aren’t yours.
Honestly its important to be vocal about changeable and changeworthy issues like this, giving feedback is actually important so that blizzard can potentially get good information on what to change(no guarantee of it happening though).
This legendary is in a design space that does need to be talked about which is very rare items that are a 5% or more overall performance increase just for existing on your character. Ie items that are the equivalent of a tuning hotfix are worth looking at as targets for deterministic looting otherwise you end up characters that are reliant on rng to perform at their best. The evoker legendary is definately in that space, same with a number of the very rare items in this and the previous raid, same as tier in last patch and sepulcher. as a caveat I think the game is better off with such items as well, having them is nice it adds spice to a patch, but drop rates and acquisition of such items should always lean toward attainable during the patch.
I feel a gameplay design loop where you can decide to play a class for a patch with the assumption of being generally kited out in 1-2 months makes sense in the current game, but a massive hang up comes in with items that hit well beyond their weight class. They could have made this legendary have ilvl tiers from lfr to mythic and it would still be used in lfr and normal difficulty because the side effect a significant gain remniscent of the hunter bow of last patch, the jailer mace, and the sylvanas daggers. I would argue that if an evoker has been killing sarc every week without fail possibly multiple times a week they should have some progress and have the legendary by 2-3 months if not sooner even.
Calling out other people for their opinions rather then discussing those opinions confuses the issue and lowers the value of the thread.
