If people want to play Lone Wolf, that’s their decision.
“I don’t need other players!”
Okay, then.

the ice fish sold for 55g/unit all weekend. you can farm for 5min and make a thousand if you need.
there’s world quests that give 600+ and take under 5 minutes each. there’s dirt piles with vendor items worth hundreds.
are you doing any of those? crafting table? Aaaanything?
I was, yeah. Not now, as mentioned, but even when I was doing that, 1m would’ve been quite the goal.
You SOLD the ice fish?
For money?
You monster.
a couple thousand of them, yes. I like fishing.

It’s crazy how we have all this data, and people still try to sell a lie.
i don’t know if you’re for real or not
this website shows prices doubling
yet you don’t take into account the massive increase in demand for shadowflame essences which will shortly follow
nevermind mate. i hope you get the axe to drop for you, don’t sell your underwear to afford to wear it
This is the time to make money off those mats before they become worthless!
basically. End of expac bubble bursts come at some point.
New expac depracates old. And/Or…better gear in 2 levels of poop/fetch quests. And now the only buyers are maybe mog hunters later on.
They will pay, maybe. For me later expacs crafted armours never really hit it off for me. I didn’t rush to buy stacks of mats since no desire for the mogs to even make them.
NGL if I cared more I’d pay boosted prices on cobalt over even SL mats. Wrath has mogs liked. SL…does not. DF is suffering that same fate most likely.
Hmm the only people impacted this are raiders. Not sure if the axe would drop in say lfr but who knows. Then it only impacts 2h STR Axe users. Which may effect their class balancing if they don’t have the weapon.
Anyways now is the time to make the gold to buy it later when prices go down, possible the worthlessness as the new auction house tends to do that for some reason.
Yes. That’s called an inflated price. Glad you finally figured it out.
No, I’m accounting for that just fine. The vast majority of these materials are not a scarcity, and do not have price dictated by availability, but by market control. The larger demand has already happened with the launch of the new raid, and the need for new/higher crafted items, and consumables. The legendary may slow the decline of the inflated pricing for relevant items, but it’s not going to stop it, let alone send it in the other direction.
TBH the shadowflame essence and the cobraskins are the worst bit from that shopping list.
I think I only ever came across like 3-4 shadowflame essence across 6 characters doing the fyrrak assaults…
Frostmourne was a gold sink?
This is why I have proposed buy orders in wow. A few times.
They offset market control somewhat. More aggressive, and richer, folk will even buy out cheap items to keep the control.
The More scarce/limited the item, the easier the control is.
You can’t buy out buy orders. You can only fill them.
Reasonable sellers fill these, the market gougers repost lower prices or hope they get inflated sales.
lemme borrow 1mil in that case to buy war within
Do people forget guilds exist? Like… ???
1 million gold for the latest and greatest legendary weapon in the game, for the very first one, within hours of it coming into being, as a collaborative effort by the top guild in the world, is not an issue.
And frankly if you’ve got a million gold to splash on a vanity cosmetic or pet it’s especially not an issue. Who in their right mind would spend that on a pet anyway??
For all of us none strength users this is just a W. Easy gold baby.
That’s actually cheap for a legendary , but this legendary isn’t actually a legendary , its just a weapon in orange color pretending to be one cause that how underwhelming it is.
So if anything you are just paying for the mog value and then I would say its not worth it.
You can easily make 20 - 30k gold per hour doing that but it gets boring lolz
