Legacy raid tuning broken?

Been farming firelands for a while and various other old raids. Some of which i ran 10.21.24,perfectly fine to solo/one shotting everything as expected for a raid 40levels lower than max. today things are def not dying and damage is very low to bosses. seems like the bosses may be somewhat soloable but legacy damage is gone… still get the pop up that legacy rules are in place when i zone into instance but definately not dealing legacy damage.

What raids? I’ve ran a few and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.

Firelands is the one i have tested on 2 toons

I’m sorry, you said that then I completely spaced. I haven’t done that one yet. I’ll try it later today and report back, but I’ll likely only do it on a lvl 80 so even if scaling changed I likely wouldn’t notice.

Edit. What level was the toons that did the runs?

Okay yup. Something is definitely off with scaling in Firelands. Took an entire Convoke cast almost to kill the Baleroc, the first boss I went to. Before he died to like…two swipes.

Even trash isn’t dying to one skill and it should be dead by looking at it.

Weird.

I’m having this problem for all legacy content that becomes available for timewalking during the timewalking event for it’s respective expansion. raids and dungeons both included.

Yeah, I noticed this in the Firelands raid earlier. This really needs to be addressed. I mean, it’s technically still doable, but it shouldn’t take longer than it did before in any capacity.

Sounds like they accidentally disabled the legacy scaling that was applied to all raids that pre-dated each level squish (pre-WoD, and pre-BFA since those raids were re-scaled with the Shadowlands pre-patch). All raids through Legion should have a legacy scaling modifier still active; Legion’s was 8x when at the SL level cap of 60.

Is Firelands the only older raid you’ve seen with the issue?

I’ve seen it with BT, and saw others on Reddit mentioning Firelands and Ulduar as well. It felt like the legacy damage buff/reduction just wasn’t working or enabled.

Doing my weekly mount run I have also ran into this with Ulduar. I was trying to phase XT to hardmode and when he did the ground pound mechanic it was hitting me for 750k a tick… also all the damage I was doing was as if they were level 80’s . hitting for 300k against a boss with millions of health

i feel like this is it. timewalking raids are being wierd even if they are not being up for timewalking week

I tested Black Temple, Firelands, and Ulduar on a level 80 (ilevel 606). It is taking approx. 30 seconds to kill bosses whereas before they were one shot. Trash is also not being one-shotted, dying in 2-3 hits.

I did not feel at risk of dying, but the damage I do is noticeably reduced from before the patch.

Can confirm. Outside Black Temple abilities do 10 million (+) damage as per scaling but inside the raid instance I do like 20-30k a hit.

Can’t even get by Leviathan in Ulduar currently. Honestly, how many times does Legacy content have to be broken (rhetorical, as it seems to be every expac/patch)

I have the same experience. I have been running Firelands 16 times a week forever and this last patch made it so half of the tunes I was running it on can’t solo it anymore

strangely im doing way more damage in heroic than in normal

This appears to be fixed this update, at least for my level 70 test in Firelands. Will probably check the others tonight.
