Leaving keys early due to carrying a 3rd DPS

Report him back for inappropriate behavior. The report tool is not his weapon to wield to avoid needing to better himself, he is not entitled to the time of others.

If the key can be timed with the people who are there, then no, you shouldn’t leave. Because PUGging means life is a box of chocolate, and you have to eat the peppermint cream with the bad nougat. If the key can not be timed because of a bad group, if you can get everyone to agree and accept that the key is bricked, then that is not a situation where you have to worry about a ban.

I mean this is why i check peoples ilvl. i joined a key alst night and left before the tank or healer even joined…Dude was trying to do 10s and 11s at 602 ILVL. dude was still wearing green gear.

Its kind of funny because people are inviting these people because they’re a “meta” class, and meanwhile people who actually have done 11s and have a higher rio can’t get an invite. Reap and sow.

Or else the chocolate police will take me away?

You can’t get in trouble for leaving keys unless you’re leaving like 10+ per hour anyway.

Man yesterday I thought about calling someone a boogerface meanie head. I immediately felt bad and repented in my mind. Can Blizzard read my thoughts and ban me for them though?

The OP probably.

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding what the bans were for. The bans were not for “leaving keys”. The bans were for people that did it a LOT of times with the intent to just troll people. There was a pretty high threshold.

It’s only people who leave too many times that get suspended, unfortunately Blizzard never gave us a number on that.

I think you’ll be fine.

That is blizzard’s hope by using scare tactics with their news last week as well as signaling to clowns that abusing the report button is A-OK.

I would have reported him for harassment because that is what he was doing by reporting you.

Does time stop when you log in the game?
It’s never “just a game”, it’s also your time, and you want to spend it positively, having fun, not wasting it getting upset that blizzard allows untalented people to share the same virtual universe for the only purpose of poisoning your overall gaming experience.

You will never convince anyone that you enjoy every moment of every game equally regardless of what happens. When people destroy your fun with their absence of skills, it’s just not enjoyable, not for me, not for him, not for you, not for anyone.

Whoever put that group together needs an evaluation. Raider IO is your friend.

Keys above 10 are for score unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You dont really get score for overtime keys, so there is no point staying (unless you have already invested in more time, than what you get with leaving ofc).

Also threatening ppl with reports/bans sounds like something which would be much more interesting from the PoV of the gm.

Reported for reporting. The jokes has become reality.

I do expect the norms should be different at 12+ (full disclosure: I mostly tank 10s and have only done a couple of 12s). I imagine most doing 12s are only there for score. I also think those players should be relatively high-functioning, and capable of clarifying expectations before they start the key.

I mean, most players pushing for title are doing it in comms with organized groups. Choosing to pug is already gimping yourself. Why would you also refuse to talk to your group?

Is there a new feature that can be used by a group deciding to disband to absolve them all of blame?

I blame the game for not giving any feedback to players on how they’re doing. I tank a whole, whole lot of level 70 normal and heroic dungeons. It’s not unusual to see a dps who is so clueless they are doing 4% of total damage in the dungeon. It’s not like they are sitting at the entrance. They appear to be participating. Do you think they don’t carry that level of skill with them when they reach end game?

well they are trying to intimidate him by stating they were

I agree that is the hope but its also likely automated so we can’t know for certain and if the checks don’t include different parameters for keys tagged timed or above +10’s this could cause problems for groups that disband and rely on discord to set rules.

Hopefully its only counted if its reported but we can’t know that either so until we get clarification I’d suggest putting all the rules in game chat just to be on the safe side.

Not that I know of but it has been suggested by several people including myself. Something like a disband check were if 3 or more people hit ok the group disbands without any reports.

The only confirmed case I’ve seen in forums admitted he left 10 keys in one day. Moderator chimed in to confirm the number of keys he was leaving was exceptional, an outlier from how most players behave. I really don’t think an occasional 12 that fails early is going to get anyone in trouble.

Personally, I’m still trying to round up friends motivated to push higher. Most of my M+ friends got their portals and called it good.
