I won’t tank in wow cause im sensitive and people have busted me up for not going fast enough in the past in group so I stopped.
I main a tank in ff14 and have a really nice time.
Only my experience but that’s my two cents

There are still a few toxic A-holes who will always do this, but from my experience its been 99% positive. You just happen to run into the one horrible group sadly. Report them and they will get a suspension.

No troll FFXIV Is a boring, clunky, slow, minimal content mess. Not to mention essentially no pvp. It’s truly not good. The profession system is OK.

The main reason is on FF14 your actions are weighed much more than here. The same punishment over there for the same crap you do here is a significantly higher price to pay and you can easily have your account perma banned in an instant.
They may allow people to be tools here and give out tiny punishments/timeouts. But over there the penalty volcano is an actual volcano and they will yeet you in it on the very first go if what you said is bad enough.

I’ve personally had far less toxicity, bordering on the non-existent, in FF14 than I’ve ever had in WoW. Players in the former might get ticked off, but they don’t launch into a verbal assault like players from the latter do. This applies to all 3 roles, not just tanking.
