There really aren’t anymore. I would say streams, although there’s a cap on what you can learn from those. Practice is probably the best way to learn.
I’ll look at that as long as you promise to reblog my LiveJournal posts about backpacking in third world countries as a yt woman and finding spiritualism sorely lacking in the west.

When I first started playing I got skill-capped guides. Those were really useful for me.

Yeah the free videos they have are really helpful. But I’m not trying to spend money cause I’m broke and my wife just left me because we can’t have a boat like her friend and her husband.

Watch a streamer then and ask them a million questions.
You can also ask more specific questions here.
An example of meaningful question:
How do I get the most out of my burst ask a dk? You’ll get a ton of people helping you, just ignore the trolls.

Ill try that when I have some better thought out questions. Most of my confusion comes from how do you win when the other team seems to have a answer for every go you have. When I watch pros play it never seems as crazy watching lower levels though for some reason and all I can think of is they are just that much better that it’s calculated and not just a who is popping the most cds the fastest. But Ill try the asking questions here when I have better ones.
There’s a GCD so who presses them fastest doesn’t matter much when you learn about whats better in certain scenarios. Which is what the game comes down to, who can press their buttons in a more efficient way?
Yeah but for example lets say I have a cc and a 2 minute damage button I use at the same time.. What’s stopping the other team from having a trinket and a 2 minute damage reduction every time I have that?
Hopefully you can get them to use those things before then with your teammates CDs. Positioning and good use of CC can sometimes do that. A lot of times games come down to mana right now, so yeah that does seem to be an issue. It’s wayy too easy to live in the current meta.

Winning purely off of “gos” isn’t a viable strategy anymore vs good players.
Gos are still really really important for momentum and forcing cds but playing to outdps the enemy team and have more mana then them is more important these days.

Ok makes more sense what swole was saying now. If you can mitigate big cooldowns with kiting or lower cooldown stuns or cc then you can keep them from doing a ton of damage and then the trick is keeping them from stopping you from having your cds the most possible damage and whoever does this better wins.
Not a ton yet atm, but in general I use a wowhead guide for pve rotation, check pvp for gear/talents from the pvp end, and then just watching streams.
I strongly recommend asking for advice/help on the forums also, because there are several people who are very qualified and legitimately interested in helping in and out of game.
