It’s blizzard doing what they do best: ripping off other companies but missing the point.
this is meant to cash in on kda, but blizzard made the fatal mistake of using a real band instead of having a real band perform as game characters in a fake band.
note the skins of sombra, mercy, brigette, the other one dressed as kpop “stans” and going to a concert. Had they just had those characters form a kpop group themselves (or better, had d.va, d.mon, and the other three korean mech pilots form a kpop group), it would have worked better.

People who go to blizzcon are the type that listen to ozzy osbourne and metallica.
Last time they tried something popular with the kids was dj khaled or whatever and the crowd was completely silent. Probably didn’t even know who he was.

U2 wouldn’t be awful, in my opinion. Nickleback is okay, but they were/are very…generic, I guess is a good way to describe them. You hear one Nickleback song, you’ve heard them all. That doesn’t necessarily make them bad, but they don’t stand out too well.

But some teenagers who play a few rounds of OW2 aren’t the people who visit Blizzcon. The promotion itself isn’t that wrong, but the live performance feels a bit misplaced.
