I miss the old days where people would talk to you and then sent a guild invite. Then later on, they just started using macros and said “screw it”.

And now, it’s just “Let’s send that person a invite, thoughtlessly and that’s end of it”. No macros, no “What’s up there champ?” nothin, just so and so has invited you to join (insert guild name here) that’s it.

Then when you do join a “big and active” guild, nobody talks, even though there’s like 40 people on at all times, nobody helps you either if you need it. I’m not saying a it’s a truly horrible thing or feeling, but I wish people would at least try when recruiting. This also goes for retail and SoD.

Yeah, if I’m running around on an unguilded character and I just get a random invite without any other context, I just decline that.

At least send a whisper telling me what you’re about.

Well, guilds got all HR on us. Class, spec, exp applications… Its a game, not a job interview…

Yeah, at least macros tell ya a little somethin, even if it’s not personal.

But just tossing out an invite for the sake of padding the numbers, no thanks.
