I agree. Barrowed power sucks booty.
Oh yeah I remember. My Wood Elf Rogue was using items that were from several xpacs back and they were still fine.
Everspace 2 (yes it is on Steam) looks amazing… is this the new Freelancer people have been waiting for forever? It just might be!!
Wrong, Ultima Online started it
Rogue Epic 1.0 for some reason is way better than the 1.5 lol and unfortunately the only memories people seem to have about WoW are from classic - WoTLK
EverQuest was the 1st true 3D MMO, so a lot of people see EQ as the birthplace a modern MMORPGs.
Cuz if we play this game we can say MUDS started it, then before that People playing D&D Started it. Then before that little kids with imaginations started it.
So true lol. So many people including me are playing so we have something to do until Ashes is out. WoW can kiss my @$$
Nice strawman
MMORPG does not mean forced group content. That’s a co-op game and co-op does not mean exclusively 2. This is not that.
MMORPGs are games designed to be games where you’re playing your character and the world isn’t just populated by NPCs. That doesn’t mean you have to do group content. The thought is literally how any major cartoon show describes a MMO or DnD.
I changed my wording so maybe you can feel better now.
if you’re never going to interact with another player then having them around is pointless
Does it mean I shouldn’t be allowed to play then?
Well that depends on what they do. Interaction isn’t just group up here and go kill X. That’s a limited imagination.
You could hypothetically be a trader who just farms mats and sells them all day and heads to the local inn to hear tales of other things happening in the world.
You could be applying to join the local guard and ran across some players who were talking about a nearby bandit camp.
What am I saying those are elements of RPGs. I forgot WoW is just a dungeon grinder for twitchy players.
people do that. that’s what playing the auction house is
those are RP servers
I don’t see how that’s a “strawman” when you’re right.
Limited.
I would agree with you, but there are people that enjoys doing world content, and in that department Shadowlands, dosen’t feel as rewarding as BFA or Legion, Imho.
I don’t want or care, to go beyond M0 and normal Raiding, because is not my thing. And if i decided that i don’t want to do those chores, as i decided in bfa, man, i would unsubbed because it has less and less rewarding than any bfa wq, any bfa warfront or any bfa island.
I don’t like thorghast, I don’t like that my world quest are only 5-7 on zones, and that those zones are difficulto to traverse, that I hate to enter in Revendreath with my non ventyr characters.
But, I don’t think that the game is lazy, it just that those changes aren’t for me, and i can still enjoy wow. No game is perfect.
Òh look, it’s that post again. The 487th post about “this game is so lazy”, over a decade saying the same, yet still playing
I don’t know how to call that… maybe like those that buy soccer games year after year when they’re all the same and have been the same for over 20 years
FIFA, madden, PES, NBA games, Sims, Assassin’s Creed… yes those games change a lot each year, def worth paying year after year. Wow nah, it’s the same since Vanilla, things haven’t changed at all
I just want to pipe in as someone that enjoys playing solo far more than doing group content.
The Warcraft universe has been a part of my life since Orcs & Humans came out in high school. I have a very strong attachment to Warcraft, and to my character (who I made back in Wrath). I like seeing and participating in the ongoing story of WoW, and I can’t get that anywhere else. WoW is honestly the only game I play anymore, and I don’t really have any interest in playing a single player RPG that will be over in 40 hours.
WoW just hits different.
In some aspects those Rp server are more of a Old school mmo than regular wow right now. WoW is a fun game, but not that good of an Mmo in player interaction. (no i don’t want to get rid of LFD, LFR or LFG nor sharding or phasing )
Just that blizz went a little bit to much on the Gamplay over MMO thingy, over the years.
When I think of low effort its…
Creating 4 unique covs that each have special abilities for all the different classes creating a balancing nightmare?
You may not like SL, but calling it low effort is laughable. If anything it’s too ambitious for a MMORPG, and we’re going to suffer for it.
