Servers can be larger, to a point, but there needs to be a hard and fast cutoff point where it is like Nope Can not create new here, can not transfer here, suck it.
I would say, if i was seeing a consistent 15min queue in prime time

There were, for some of them anyways, it was not gaining enough traction
to rectify things.

Why not just do Faction locking instead of overall locking? It just makes it impossible for the population to balance out now on these servers.
We need more Alliance on Faerlina (not a whole lot, but about 5-10% more) and now thatâs just not going to happen. I can only imagine this would lock servers with even worse population balance into an even worse situation. Itâs unfortunate because I had some friends that were just about to start playing on Ally to balance it out and now theyâre unable to.

Yes the transfers werenât getting a lot done, but that was BEFORE layering. The situation has changed, there are a lot of players who donât prefer to transfer, but would still prefer to do that instead of playing with layering. I think if they had announced that they would implement layering if the transfers didnât work out a lot more people would have transferred.
They basically gave us a bad solution, and when we didnât take it, they gave us an even worse one. And now many of us would prefer to take the lesser of two evils now that we know what we know.

They opened an open discussion about layering before it ever went into effect, so yea, they did do that.

No I mean they should have said something like 'in two weeks, if transfers havenât produced results, we will add layering to these (x, x, and x) servers. To actually explicitly let people know what their choices are.

Btw if you are going to layer a server, why not offer your customers a free transfer off to a non layered server?

They ran transfers, for like a week, and said why they were running them.
When those were not helping, they opened a discussion with the playerbase pertaining to layering, and exactly why they were reluctantly considering it. And that was open for another week.
The people being continually unable to play at all can not just sit there for 4 weeks while people fart around with options.
Sorry but that trumps any temporary inconveniences we get from the locks and layers.

Can i ask that when attempting a character transfer to a locked realm, that the error message you get explain that the reason is thus? Getting âcome back laterâ is just causing a bit of confusion

Hello, I just paid $50.00 to transfer from Kromcrush to Earthfury. I transferred in the late morning, and my son was going to transfer in the evening and was locked out. Now I have a 90-day cool-down to wait to play with my son again! This is ridiculous, and your GMâs canât help. It took two days to get a weak answer. I want to play with my son. Let me transfer back, (even if I have to pay) or let us both transfer to another server. The reason we wanted to go to Earthfury to begin with, was Kromcrush is like 70% Horde and world PVP is a joke. We are Horde and want to experience more of a balanced world PVP experience. But primarily, we want to play together, and this is impossible unless you help us!

Will the transfer be lifted from Herod? Was in the middle of transferring my last 60 over to Herod when it was shut down.
What are you even saying, he has 2 chars on the server on the account hes trying to server transfer his main it is exactly the same thing as making a new characterâŚits the same account⌠so why lock it to him? He can make a new char or just bring his geared main over? also with layers why the hell even lock the server? makes zero sense because there is literally zero queue time now on Fairbanks⌠your logic is flawed as it pertains to what i am talking about.
