Let me just hop layers and get the same nodes again and again, make a few thousand gold a day and bust the auction house.
Honestly we should extend or keep layering forever, this seems great ( for me atleast ).

Can you hop layers like that? I thought what layer you start on is what you are always on unless you join a guild or a group on a different layer somehow.

Perhaps Blizzard could tie characters to a layer for 20 minutes after they log off or so? This could be a good work around?
I definitely understand laying for phase one and why blizzard wants to implement it. I also know a huge flux of people returning to WoW for Classic so layering, although I don’t want it ultimately, makes some sense for launch. If it’s a threat to economy though, then blizzard should find a solution that works.

That’d be one way to hop layers, they don’t necessarily have to be near you to phase into another layer, and that layer will have its own nodes to farm. You can hop over into other layers by grouping or just use one of your alts as well.

To be honest once phase 2 starts ir even sooner layering will be turned off. So all this worrying is pointless.
Blizzard has stated that layering will be shut off before or at phase 2. No later.

If layering is phase 1 then it’ll be in for a decent amount of time, phase 1 is “Molten Core” give it roughly 6 months then phase 2 is PvP among a few world bosses. Plenty of time to amass resources. They have to iron out hopping layers outright because this method is already being used in beta to stockpile A LOT of resources.
