Layering hurts world PvP. There’s nothing more that should be said than that, but unfortunately there is. It personally feels like layering is just another way to stack several different realms on the other that share the same name. I have a horde character who’s definitely too low to actually partake in world PvP on Faerlina, but I would absolutely love the chance to /spit on Asmon one of these days. However due to layering, I can follow his twitch to the T and not see anything regarding to world PvP.
Layering in general seems like a bad system to protect servers, like Faerlina, from completely crashing due to the actions of individuals like Asmongold, but in exchange it completely alienates people from being able to partake in world PvP even if it’s at their own discomfort.
