Layering Exploits used for MC clear from APES

Be nice, mate.

Old news, we moved on from this days ago … try harder please.

MY experience is fine thanks and totally unaffected by how others play … you should try thinking like that sometime, you’ll find it far less stressful.

Everyone is just sulking after their precious classic got roflstomped faster and harder than any retail raid in the history of WoW.

no the players are just way better in classic than in retail, these were private server players, the retailers are still whining about having to run so far after dying.

Shhhh, don’t say that, the tough-boys can only cry so hard about their dreams of classic wow being demolished!

thats not how it works. they will do something if they think its a problem and not say anything if its intended

the burden is on you to find where they said its a problem

Says someone with 2k achievement points. Post-Cata player chiming in when he has no business doing so.

Yeah the pserver community just rekt classic lol.

Of course they did. That’s why most people said an MC clear wouldn’t happen in a week. Without abusing the layering system like JokerD and the APES crew it wasn’t feasible.

When Blizzard knows it will happen, watches it happen, does nothing when it happens, then it’s not an exploit, it’s how the game is played now. People will be doing this as a primary method for leveling quickly now, trivializing all other quest and dungeon content.

The mechanic is working as intended. If your game is so amazing why are you crying on here, shouldn’t you be playing your super happy fun classic wow?

Staying up 40 hours straight to beat easy content you have done 100’s of times is a bit overkill, but yeah they downed the raid bosses.

It’s a nice achievement for them.

I never claimed they said it was a problem. People posting here are as though Blizzard absolutely intended this, and so I just assumed they were right and asked to be directed to where they are getting this information.

The burden of proof is on the one making the claim. It’s not my job to debunk every time makes baseless claims.

thats an odd take. if blizzard never does anything then its clearly ok with them

i cant reference a post that doesnt exist.

they would do something about if they dont like it, and they haven’t

No it isn’t and they won’t. It isn’t because blizz was told this would happen over and over and over and over by just about everyone and they were obviously fine with it because here we are.

And that’d be great if only your assertion were backed up by something. You are merely speculating, which is fine. You shouldn’t, however, try to put forth a theory as fact.

From what I hear, this won’t be an easy fix. Perhaps the reason it has not been dealt with, yet.

If Blizzard deems this an unintended use of mechanics then they should absolutely fix it. Whether or not the players who abused it are punished is secondary. (I personally think they should be, but I don’t care enough to find out.)

You are very misled on what layering means. Layering is one server having 5-10 “instances” for the whole world. If there wasn’t any splitting, there would have been 12,000 people standing in the human starting zone on day one, which 100% would have crashed the server. It isn’t cross realm. There’s no cross realm transfer of items. It’s exactly like sharding on retail, not cross realm.

Anyone who has played Vanilla WOW knows it’s impossible for them to have farmed the rep without SOME kind of exploiting. Literally no way to do it faster.

It’s not an exploit. Layer swapping is an intended mechanic.

We warned what layering would bring months in advance. We were called fearmongers.
